学习流程
Before class (课前自主学习,合作探究)
1. Read and try to remember the new words and phrases from survey to no longer/not…any longer.(方法引导:按音标以及读音规则正确读、背单词和短
2. Do the survey on Page 1 of the warming-up part.
3. Read the reading and then finish Comprehending Exercise 1 on Page 3 of your textbook.(方法引导:课前预习课文并完成部分练习为课上处理和掌握课文做好铺垫。预习课文时,注意参考课后注释。)

1. Get two members of different groups to come to the Bb and check up their prevision tasks, one group to do the following task:
Find the words or expressions for each of the following meanings from the text.

本节课的设计最大的特点是充分考虑了高一学生既无丰富的语言知识积累,又无掌握熟练地阅读技能的特点,从训练高一学生循序渐进的掌握有效的阅读策略,使用恰当的阅读技能入手,同时为激发学生的探究欲望和阅读兴趣设置了由浅入深,层层推进的任务型阅读的教学模式。
同时为适应当前素质教育的深入推进的要求和出于对英语课堂教学和英语学习大面积提升和促进的要求,为鼓励学生主动学习,积极学习,我们采取了课前课中课后的这样一种阅读课教学模式,课前自主学习,合作探究;课上交流展示、研讨提升;课后巩固提高、预习准备,我们希望通过这样的课堂设计过程,通过老师所创设的这样一个教学流程和情境,让学生通过自己的探索、研究,解决问题、获取知识。从而真正达到学生自主学习、合作学习、探究学习、积极学习的目的。

目标聚焦
本单元为高一上学期第一个单元,属于初高中衔接阶段。学生对高中的学习方式还不太适应,词汇掌握方面还停留在初中阶段,对于词汇知识的归纳总结能力以及语法的系统掌握仍然有待于进一步提高。本节课的主要目的就是侧重训练学生对文章的重点词汇、重点句型的理解、辨析和运用,并通过对多个例句的分析,归纳总结词汇、句型的用法,培养学生养成自己分析、归纳总结的习惯,以及正确使用语法的能力。
(一)语言知识目标

方法运用
本节课将采用新课标所提倡的“任务型教学”途径,侧重于提高学生在语言知识学习中的归纳能力,以及对所掌握语言知识的灵活运用,同时培养学生自我完成任务的能力。
按照高中英语课程标准所倡导的以学生为本的教学理念,采用任务型语言教学途径,促使学生积极运用语言,完成任务;采用词组翻译、句子理解翻译、通过句子辨析词义,在完成练习的过程中达到巩固词组以及语法的用法的目的。

1. 观察探究
1) 观察下面两组句子,它们在语法形式和语意上有何不同?
① The teacher said, “ Do you like English ”
The teacher asked if you like English.

2) 观察第5页Part 1,注意直接引语和间接引语的区别。
2. 用法归纳
(1) 概念
引述别人的话有两种方式:直接引述别人的话,叫直接引语。用自己的话转述别人的话,叫间接引语。间接引语在多数情况下构成宾语从句。
【注意】
1) 直接引语前常使用逗号,而不是冒号;引号内直接引语的单词首字母要大写。
2) 间接引语不用逗号、引号;间接引语要考虑人称、时态、时间状语、地点状语和指示代词的变化。
(2) 直接引语变为间接引语,要注意以下几点:
1)时态变化
如果主句谓语动词为各种现在时或一般将来时,则间接引语中的动词仍保持直接引语原来时态。如果主句谓语动词为过去时,间接引语中的动词时态按下列变化:

【注意】 在以下情况下,直接引语变为间接引语时,时态一般不变化:
① 直接引语是表示客观事实、永恒真理时,如:
The teacher said, “The earth goes round the sun.”
→The teacher said that the earth round the sun.
② 直接引语中有明确的表示过去的时间状语,变为间接引语时,时态不变。如:
He said to me, “I was born in 1973.” →He told me that he born in 1973.
③ 直接引语是过去进行时,时态不变,如:
Jack said, “John, where were you going when I met you in the street ”
→Jack asked John where he __________ ____________ when he met him in the street.
④ 直接引语所述事实在当时和目前同样生效,变为间接宾语时,一般现在时不改为一般过去时。如:
He said, “I’m a boy, not a girl.” → He said that he a boy , not a girl.
2) 连接词:
① 直接引语是陈述句时,间接引语是由连词that引导的宾语从句(口语中that可以省略),主句中的say to sb.常根据需要改为tell sb.,如:
She said to me, “ I’m very upset these days because of my studies.”
→She ______ ________ that she was very upset these days because of her studies.
He said , “You are younger than I.”
→He said ________ I was younger than him.
② 直接引语是一般疑问句时,间接引语是由if/ whether引导的宾语从句。
“ Do you have enough time to walk your dog ” my friend asked me.
→My friend asked me _____ I had enough time to walk _________ dog.
He said, “Can you swim, John ” → He asked John _________ he ________ swim.
如果问句表示“建议”可用动词suggest或advise加宾语从句或适当结构来完成,如:
“ Shall we arrive there at dusk ” she said. →She ___________ we should arrive there at dusk.
He said, “Let’s go to the film.” →He _______________________________________.
选择疑问句变为whether….or 宾语从句。
I asked him, “ Will you stay at home or go to a film tonight ”
→I asked him ______________ he would stay at home _________ go to a film that night.
③ 直接引语是特殊疑问句时,间接引语仍使用原来的连接词引导, 但语序要使用陈述语序.
The teacher asked, “When will you finish your homework, Jane ”
→The teacher asked Jane __________ he would finish his homework.
3) 时间状语、指示代词、地点状语和动词的变化:

4) 人称变化:
记住口诀: “一随主,二随宾,第三人称不更新”。
“一随主”是指在直接引语变间接引语时,如果从句中的主语是第一人称或被第一人称所修饰。从句中的人称要按照主句中主语的人称变化,如:
① He said, “ I like it very much.” → He said that _____________ liked it very much.
② She said,“ My brother wants to go with me.”
→ She said brother wanted to go with ______________.
“二随宾”是指直接引语变间接引语时,若从句中的主语及宾语是第二人称, 或被第二人所修饰, 从句中的人称要跟引号外的主句的宾语一致。如果引号外的主句没有宾语。也可以用第一人称,如:
He said to Kate, “ How is your sister now ” → He asked Kate how __________sister was then.
“第三人称不更新”是指直接引语变间接引语时, 如果从句中的主语及宾语是第三人称或被第三人称所修饰, 从句中的人称一般不需要变化,如:
Mr. Smith said, “Jack is a good worker.” →Mr. Smith said ________was a good worker.

教学反思
本节课内容比较多,很多词汇、短语、语法需要记忆,但单词不是非常难以理解。应该使用不同的教学方法,让学生在学习语言知识的同时,及时归纳词汇和语法的用法,掌握多种学习方法,这样就比生硬的说教效果要好。
