经过五年的英语学习,五年级的学生已掌握了一定的语音、词汇、语法、话题表达等英语基础知识,如知道can /can’t; you??/ I /she/ he ; play basketball play football play table tennis?? run fast jump high jump far ride fast swim fast catch well 等单词及短语的读音和用法,知道如何谈论sports等体育活动;具备了一定的听、说、读、写能力,形成了一定的综合语言运用能力,如能够运用Can you …? Yes , I can. No, I can’t. I can…来询问和表达能力;愿意运用所学英语积极参与表达和交流活动,有兴趣继续听说和学习英语。因此,教学中,应从学生已有的知识、能力、经验和兴趣出发,根据教学内容,采用灵活的教学方法,精心设计教学活动,促使学生在参与、实践、体验、合作与交流活动中学习、运用并掌握知识,进一步发展综合语言运用能力,稳定英语学习兴趣。
课标与教材分析:
《英语课程标准》指出:“英语课程的学习,既是学生通过英语学习和实践活动,逐步掌握英语知识和技能,提高语言实际运用能力的过程;又是磨砺意志、丰富生活经历、开发思维能力和发展个性的过程。”教材通过设计Amy和Sam帮助Lingling 加入篮球队一事,不仅使学生理解和掌握如何运用You /I can … well.等句式对自我和他人进行简单的评价、肯定和鼓励,而且使英语学习的过程成为帮助学生肯定自己或他人的能力,积极与他人合作,养成和谐健康向上的品格的过程。
教学目标:
1、知识目标:
(1)熟练掌握和运用单词:well, catch, jump high , run fast 。
(2)能够运用Can you ….?句型向他人询问并做出答复 。并能口头运用I / You /She /He can play basketball well 等这类语句描述自己及他人的能力。
2、语言技能目标:
能给与自己与他人正确的评价。3、思想情感目标:激发学生学习英语的兴趣,培养学生合作意识和自主学习的能力。
教学重点:
学会句型:Can you ….?? Yes, I can./ No, I can’t .
教学难点:
能用下列句子:I / You/She /He can catch the ball ,I don’t play well.描述自己与他人的能力。

教学反思:
本模块的设计主要是运用了“任务型”教学法,将以前学过的动词词组进行复习,贯穿于整节课的教学:将can的语法知识渗透在各个教学活动中, 以 I can …well 为框架,将新、旧知识运用到不同的语言场景中去,使学生不断扩充自己的语言信息量,达到运用语言的目的。在教学中将听、说、写溶于一体,来激发学生学习英语的兴趣,但是在句型练习中,我觉得活动面不够广。
在进行对话教学时,先让学生听两遍,然后再提问时应该注意将问题板书于黑板。对话中难点是catch the ball, jump really high应当重点在导入环节突破。
在课堂上,我发现大多数学生书写存在严重问题。比如:有的学生是句首字母没有大写;习惯性的用汉语的方式进行翻译,还有即使是写对了,也是不整洁,还有的同学在拓展部分还是怕开口说英语,看来,怎样让所有学生敢于说,乐于说,让会说的学生能够写,正确写,始终是我教学不断努力的方向。
