一、概述
本课是新目标英语八年级上册Unit 1 How often do you exercise中的第一课时,新单词有exercise、surf 、shop、skateboard、Internet、program、time、once、twice、hardly、ever等,主要句型是What do you usually do on weekends? How often do you ...?本课主要从学生兴趣出发,联系学生所学的read, watch TV, play football等运动短语,通过pair work、 group work、readings、picture talking、listening等多种活动,复习旧知,联系新知,拓展学生的词汇量,训练学生的说听能力,提高学生的语言运用能力。
二、教学目标
1.知识与技能
(1)认读新单词和新句型,做到发音准确、清晰;
(2)熟练运用新句型,进行pair work, group work等形式的相互问答;
(3)学习描述课余时间的活动安排,初步培养语言综合运用能力。
2.过程与方法
(1)能够通过师生说、两两说、和自主听读体验交际式英语教学的一般过程,掌握英语说听的基本方法;
(2)能够通过两两说和小组活动体验合作学习的过程和方法;培养语言表达能力。
3. 情感态度与价值观

教学反思:
本节课用对话来贯穿,都紧扣本单元和前几个单元的知识内容,精心设计的活动,积极创设能让学生主动交流的语言环境,把课本材料还原成活生生的交际语言,既紧扣了教材,又抛开了教材,然后再回到教材。 学生们在本节课上的表现也可圈可点,因为活动量比较大,课堂操练的面也较广,但因为涉及的内容都是学生比较熟悉和感兴趣的,在老师的鼓励下,即是基础较差的学生都愿意开口说,有话说。每个学生进入活动角色,积极用英语思维,通过各种活动形式,把书本知识内化为实实在在的语言交际能力。本节课任务与任务之间相互关联,并体现层层递进。随着课堂进程的发展,任务在其语言知识的难度上、内容的拓展上、能力的训练上、意义的启发上都体现了渐进性、发展性,使整节课教学任务一气呵成。

教材分析:本单元以“How often do you exercise ?”为话题展开教学活动。首先学会恰当地使用频率副词及短语,再学会描述课余时间的活动安排和基本饮食结构。通过复习七年级学习过的动词短语,及本单元的听力练习,各种方式的口语交际活动和写作练习,使学生积极参与,合作,从而培养学生的综合语言运用能力。教材在本单元的开篇,即本课时,安排了关于谈论课余时间的各项活动,以及初步认识和使用频率副词,为进一步地使用频率副词及动词短语做语言知识上的准备。

教学策略:根据本课时的特点,我安排了八个环节,第一个环节出示教学目标,让每一个学生明白本节课的学习任务和要求, 初步把握课堂学习的重点和主要内容,有助于学生集中注意力学习;第二个环节,让学生自学本节课的生词和短语,鼓励学生在音标和词义的帮助下,初步掌握新单词和短语,为下面的教学环节做好知识准备。第三环节, 由问题“How many days are there in a week?”引出新单词“weekends”。通过出示一些图片,让学生接受一些动词短语, 并熟悉旧句型“What do you usually do on weekends ?” 接下来老师通过日历图片,引出频率副词的概念,减轻学生学习新概念的难度;然后通过完成课本Activity 1a&1b和“开火车问答”来加深学生对频率副词这一重点内容的理解;第四环节,因为学生新内容频率副词的使用和句型刚刚掌握,有必要通过Speak up部分进行巩固操练,加强听说能力的培养;第五环节,是本节课的难点,即第三人称单数谓语动词在频率句型中的使用; 我在教学中先由第一人称,引导到第三人称,并通过图片展示不同的活动,反复操练,使学生充分感知和理解,实现知识的扩展和延伸。在第六环节中,我安排了小组对话活动,用对比的方式清楚地呈现给学生,让学生们全面掌握频率句型一般现在时态的用法,使学生在交际中对语言的认识得到升华。在锻炼学生的综合语言运用能力的同时,又让他们学会合作与交流。第七环节,我设计了学生提问和知识回顾环节,指导学生采用“过电影”的方法,将本节课的重点内容再过一遍,提高课堂学习的效率。同时能照顾到个体学生的实际困难。第八环节,是洋思课堂模式中非常重要的“当堂训练”,包括听力练习和选择题的训练,检查学生学习和自己教学的效果,帮助学生深化对知识的理解和记忆,学会将所学知识运用于实际,增强分析和解决实际问题的能力。
