China news, Beijing, Sept. 7—In recent years, many suicide cases(自杀事件) have been reported in colleges. Some educationalists urge schools to include life education in the schools' curriculums. Beijing CPPCC delegate Liu Pengzhi suggested that in Beijing, life education should be provided to middle school students. In responding to this suggestion, the Beijing Municipal Education Bureau (北京市教育局) says that students in Beijing can receive life education in the form of discussions, school curriculums(课程) and extracurricular activities. In addition, teachers will also learn more knowledge about life education, the Beijing Youth Daily reported. ??? Tears are nature’s way of making us feel more comfortable. When our eye is made uncomfortable by some small piece of pollution, or when we are peeling onions(剥洋葱), or when we are exhausted and “red-eyed” from overwork and late hours, tears form in our eyes to clean and refresh them.
Tears are also a sign of strong emotion. We cry when we are sad and we cry when we are happy.
And tears seem to be uniquely human. We know that animals also experience emotion—fear, pleasure, loneliness—but they do not shed tears. From this, we can conclude that tears are closely related to the emotional and biological makeup(天性) of the human species.
Biologically speaking, tears are actually drops of saline water, which is a little bit of salty, produced by a gland(腺)in the body. Because salt is an important component(成分), it(they) may actually constitute (构成) the most conclusive evidence that the human animal is the end product of a long evolutionary(进化的)process that began in the sea.
And it is clear that, in addition to the emotional benefits, the shedding of tears has a specific biological fun_ction as well. Through tears, we can remove from our body certain chemical which build up in response to stress and create a chemical imbalance in the body. Crying actually makes us feel better by correcting that imbalance and making us feel good again. And thus the emotional and the biological functions of tears merge into(汇合成) one and make us even more “human” than we would otherwise be.
49. This passage mainly tells us
A. tears are a sign of strong emotion.
B. shedding tears has a specific biological fun_ction
C. tears has many benefits for human beings
D. tears are nature’s way of making us feel more comfortable.
50. According to the passage, we can learn
A. tears are a little related to the emotional and biological makeup of the human species.
B. tears seem to be uniqueness of humans
C. tears can form certain chemical to create a chemical imbalance in the body
D. people should not cry but laugh whenever it is
51. The underlined word “it(they)” in the forth paragraph most probably refers to .
A. tears B. salt C. gland D. emotional benefits

Olaf Stapledon wrote a book called First and Last Men, in which he looked millions of years ahead. He told of different men and of strange civilizations(文明), broken up by long 'dark ages' in between. In his view, what is called the present time is no more than a moment in human history and we are just the First Men. In 2,000 million years from now there will be the Eighteenth or Last Men. However, most of our ideas about the future are really very short-sighted. Perhaps we can see some possibilities for the next fifty years. But the next hundred? The next thousand? The next million? That's much more difficult. When men and women lived by hunting 50,000 years ago, how could they even begin to picture modern life? Yet to men of 50,000 years from now, we may seem as primitive(原始的) in our ideas as the Stone-Age hunters do to us. Perhaps through the spundels and ballalators, these words, which I have just made up, have to stand for things and ideas that we simply can't think of. So why bother even to try imagining life far in the future? Here are two reasons. First unless we remember how short our own lives are compared with the whole human history, we are likely to think our own interests are much more important than they really are. If we make the earth a poor place to live, because we are careless or greedy or quarrelsome, our grand-children will not bother to think of excuses for us. Second, by trying to escape from present interests and imagine life far in the future, we may arrive at quite fresh ideas that we can use ourselves. For example, if we imagine that in the future men may give up farming, we can think of trying it now. So set you imagination free when you think about the future.52. A particular mention made of Stapledon's book in the opening paragraph ____________ A. serves as a description of human history B. serves an introduction to the discussion C. shows a disagreement of views D. Shows the popularity of the book53. The text discusses men and women 50,000 years ago and 50,000 years from now in order to
show that _________. A. human history is extremely long
B. life has changed a great deal C. it is useless to plan for the next 50 years D. it is difficult to tell what will happen in the future54. Spundels and ballalators are used in the text to refer to _________. A. tools used in farming B. ideas about modern life C. unknown things in the future D. hunting skills in the Stone Age55. According to the writer of the text, imagining the future will _________. A. serve the interests of the present and future generations B. enable us to better understand human history C. help us to improve farming D. make life worth living

be made up of“由…组成”;make out“理解、辨别、填写、开支票,说明”; make up“虚构,弥补,整理”。所以选B
2.B题意﹕汶川大地震后的恐怖景象深深的刻在我的脑海中; impress sth on/upon sb 让某人铭记某事物; present sth to sb赠与某人某物;affect sb影响/感动某人;express sth to sb向某人表达…。
at first sight of第一次见到…就…;in the sight of 在某人看来;catch a first sight of “赶上第一个看到…”, 动词短语,作谓语; at sight of 看见…。
take up“开始从事”;make up“组成”;put up“张贴”;carry out“贯彻实施”。
在含有require的从句中,应用虚拟语气,(should)do; require sth of sb 对某人有…
remind sb of sth“使某人想起…”。introduce sth to sb向某人介绍…。
What=the place where……,引导的是宾语从句(作介词in的宾语),同时what充当宾于从句的主语;which强调有范围中的“哪一个”,不合题意;Where不能作主语;that在宾语从句中不做任何成分。
所以when后省掉“this kind of books was”,选C。
同学们容易选A,being+V-ing/V-ed作状语时,省略being。
过去分词充当后置定语修饰time,对time与allow之间是被动关系;D选项应该是“which is allowed”。
17. B work out new ideas
18. A think about意思是“思考”,“考虑”。 Consider/imagine/suggest是及物动词,不用于此结构,且不合题意。
19. C on the other hand意思为“另一方面”;as a result意思为“结果”;of course意思为“当然”;at the same time意思为“同时”。
comfortable“令人舒服的”;satisfied“人感到满意的”。
27. D provide sth, for sb. Offer sb sth,此处结构不合适;shelter sb from…
32. C go back to doing sth.

从文中最后一段可知A、B、D项不符合文章内容;再由最后一句(is still being tested and improved)可知C正确。

56. peoples改为people。
57. not改为so。
58. 正确

61.or改为and。
62.which改为that。
64.去掉it。
65.在like后加to。 would like to do “想去干某事”
A possible version:
A dream is to a man what wings are to a bird. Everyone has a lot of dreams. When I was young, I dreamed of becoming an astronaut like Yang Liwei in future.
When I was young, I often wondered whether I could fly into space. The sky is so beautiful that many people are struck by it deeply. Most immortally, Yang Liwei was sent into space by China’s Shenzhou spacecraft, making China the third country successfully sending a person into space. I really hope one day I can do this like him.
However, I know clearly it is not easy to be a good astronaut. It means I make great efforts for my dream and study hard at my lessons. Only in this way can I learn enough knowledge to be a good astronaut. All in all, I am willing to do whatever I can to achieve my dream.
Most of the country's Internet users go online to chat or seek entertainment rather than look for jobs or conduct business.
