Learning aims and demands:
1.Language goal:
Learn to report what someone said.
完成任务所需要的语言材料:
1) 词汇:ever, hard-working, be mad at, snacks, not…anymore
2) 句子:
What did he say He said I was hard-working.
2.Grammar goal:
Direct speech and reported speech.
3. 完成课本第25页1a, 1b,1c和2b的教学任务。
教学重点和难点
本课的重点是让学生学会如何转述别人语言,难点是转述语言时人称和时态的变化以及个别动词的变化。
突破措施:1.课前的热身活动让学生对本课的内容有所了解。
2.趣味性的导入和活动让学生在快乐中学习。
3.大量的口头和笔头训练帮学生改正学习过程中的小问题。
4.课上的讨论活动让学生自己发现规律,加深印象。
教材分析
本课的内容可以看做是一节练习中的语法课,通过某人在看连续剧时转述主人公的话把本课的重点--间接引语导入出来内容多,而且本课的连续剧内容也为学生不熟悉的,不仅不会引起学生的兴趣,而且会给学生的理解带来难度,因而需要教师在导入时,注意提高学生的兴趣,否则会比较枯燥。
学情分析
尽管学生在日常生活中经常转述他人的话语,只是不了解直接引语和间接引语这个概念而已,但是汉语中的转述通常改变的是人称,而英语中还有时态的变化,这也是一个学生难以掌握的地方。不过由于本课是这一单元的第一课时,只是让学生初步了解,应该也可以做到。

教学设想
本课是通过《年轻岁月》这部连续剧导入学习内容的,因为与时代内容不相一致,肯定不会引起学生的共鸣,因而在设计本课时,预先调查了初三的学生最喜欢看的连续剧是什么,并搜集了相应的图片,希望能引起学生的兴趣,并以家喻户晓,老少皆宜的《我的兄弟叫顺溜》导入本课新授内容,相信会引起学生的兴趣和共鸣,好的开始是成功的一半,其他也就顺理成章了。
教学环节
Step1: Warming-up exercise
T:Before our class, let’s read a chant together, first follow me and then do it by yourself, OK

I am a girl, I am a girl.
She said she was a girl.
I can sing, I can sing.
He said he could sing.
I will win, I will win.
He said he would win. Follow the teacher and then do it by themselves.
Step 2. Lead-in reported speech.
1. Lead-in
T: Look at the picture. Who is he (point to a picture of a soap opera)
S: He is Wang Baoqiang.(王宝强)
T: Yes he is. He said,“I am Wang Baoqiang.”We also can say: He said he was Wang Baoqiang.
S: He said he was Wang Baoqiang. (help him/her if necessary)
T: Class repeat. 板书 He said he was Wang Baoqiang.
Practice several sentences together. Pay attention to……
I want to stay. She said.----------- She said she wanted to stay.
We will find it.
He said.----------- He said we would find it.
He said he could talk, he could think.
He said he was going fishing.
2 . Talk about the picture.
1.Ask a student to read the speech bubble on TV.
2.Ask another two students to read the dialogue.( Pay attention to the change of subject and tense).
Step3. Grammar notes.
引入语法:直接引语,间接引语
直接引语:直接引用别人的原话。
间接引语:用自己的话转述别人的原话
直接引语一般前后要加引号,间接引语不用。
如: John said, “I like reading very much.”(直接引语)
John said that he liked reading very much.(间接引语)
直接引语变为间接引语要注意以下几点:人称变化,时态变化,宾语从句要用陈述句语序
Step4. . 1b and 1c Listening practice.
This activity gives students practice in understanding the target language in spoken conversation.
1. listen and number the statements (1-4) in the picture.
2. First only listen then listen again and number.
Correct the answers. The TV screens should be numbered in this order: 1 3 4 2
3. Explain the motes
(1)a surprise party 一个惊喜晚会
(2)be mad at sb= be anger with sb 对……生气
eg. If I’m late again, the teacher will be mad at me.
(3) on Friday night 在周五晚上 具体到某一早晨中午晚上, 介词要用on..

Activity 1c provides guided oral practice using the target language.
First ask two students to read the example in the sample dialogue.

T: Now work with your partner. Ask and answer questions about each picture in Activity 1a.
Then ask several pairs of students to say a question and answer to the class.

eg. He didn’t smoke anymore. 他不再吸烟了。

2b Step1. Read the instructions.
Step2. Ask two students to read. One read the speech bubble, the other reads the reported speech. Pay attention to differences between the direct speech and indirect speech.

Grammar notes:
间接引语中从句的谓语要与主句的谓语时态一致,当主句是过去时,直接引语变间接引语时,几个主要时态的变化规律。

教后记
通过本课讲授,发现成功之处在于一开始就抓住了学生的好奇心,激起了学生的求知欲,在导入单词时,因为迎合学生的心理,因而达到了预期的目的,学生对于单词掌握非常扎实;其次,中间设计的pairwork这个活动时,结合国内刚刚成功句型的奥运会以及神七飞天,也激起了学生说的欲望;再次,给学生创造了自己发现规律的机会,几乎所有的学生都能说出需要他们总结的内容;不足之处也有很多,在处理课本听力时,可能由于导入训练不足因而学生在2b中出错较多,过早的让他们开始找规律,再有因为学生对于规则并没有认真理解,因而也出现了小小的失误,再就是课堂时间没有把握好,导致了设计的内容提前完成不得不临时加了一个小活动。总之,本课既有成功也有不足,它能让我在以后的授课过程中考虑更全面,更仔细,争取取得大的进步!

“Young Lives” this week
It was an exciting week for the people on the soap opera “Young Lives”.First of all, Marcia told Ben she 1 was having a surprise party for Lana, and that Lana 2 thought she was going to her house to study. Then Lana 3 told Ben she 4 was mad at Marcia, and that she 5 wasn’t going to her house on Friday. So Ben told Lana that Marcia was 6 going to have a party for her. Lana told Ben that she 7 wasn’t mad at Marcia anymore, and that she 8 would go to Marcia’s house on Friday night. However, Marcia called everyone and 9 told them that she 10 wasn’t going to have the party.
Step3. Read again and answer the following questions.

2. Let the students do some exercises and review the important grammar.
Step 1 1a &1b.
1. Ask one student to read the five sentences to the class. Ask them which words they don’t understand . Write these words on the board. Point to each word on the board and explain what each one means.( hard-working , better , do well in ) When all students understand what the words mean, read the instructions. Ask Ss to check the sentences that are true for themselves . Read each sentence to the class and ask students to raise their hands if they checked that answer.
1. Ask students to read the five sentences quickly.
