1、教学目标:
语言知识目标:能听、说、认读本课的重点单词:Halloween, festival, fun, wear, scary, scare
语言能力目标:能运用What do they do at…?They…,并能利用动词回答,了解万圣节中各种传统活动。
情感、策略和文化目标:培养学生学习的兴趣,鼓励学生积极合作,引导学生了解西方的传统节日。
2、内容分析:
本节课是这一模块的第一课时,本节课话题为万圣节活动,比较抽象,也与学生的生活比较遥远,生词也很多,理解难度较大。但课文是按照故事发展情节设定,据此学生能够容易理清脉络掌握课文大意。主要内容为万圣节活动介绍,教师可以加入相关的资料,培养学生英语思维和交际能力。本堂课的目的在于增加学生对于西方文化的了解并能用英语简单描述节日。
3、学情分析:五年级学生,有一定的英语基础,但水平参差不齐。但学生的表现欲强,英语学习兴趣十分浓厚。
4、设计思路:本堂课的设计思路是从中国传统节日中秋节入手,引出西方万圣节,接着通过多种方式操练单元重点单词及句型,最后让学生运用所学知识描述熟悉节日,最终实现学有所用。

Show the students four pictures to review the four seasons in a year:spring, summer, autumn, winter
3. Guessing game:
Show the students a picture and ask them to guess what festival it is.
(It’s a picture of Mid-Autumn Day. If they don’t know the English, show the translation.)

四、教学反思
这节课的主题是Halloween,属于西方传统节日,通过学生和教材的分析,在教授today is Halloween. 这篇文章时,注意突出了以下几点:
1、突出重点,攻破难点:
本节课的重点为动词词组,因此我设计了很多对于这些词或短语的巩固性练习。从听说读写四个方面全面培养锻炼学生英语学习能力,提高英语水平。
2、紧扣教材,层层深入:
我从中国传统节日中秋节导入,学习万圣节的各项活动。以旧知带新知,从四季的复习入手,复习了autumn的同时也学习了festival这一生词。紧扣教材,问题设置从yes or no questions 到T or F,再到最后的完成文段,坚持由易到难,逐步提高学生的学习积极性和自信心。
3、创新竞争机制,提高学习积极性
本节课我采用小组比赛的方式,对于回答问题主动或正确的学生以奖励,课前就在黑板上画好一根南瓜藤,小组比赛每回答正确一个问题就加上一笔,在回答问题的过程中充分调动了学生的积极性和好奇心,最终pumpkin的出现也令学生十分欣喜。无形之中便让学生在头脑中将万圣节和南瓜联系到了一起。
