二、教学设计
1、教学目标：Talking about time periods
2、内容分析：大明在堂兄西蒙家认识了新朋友劳拉。劳拉希望能结识一位来自中国的笔友。大明把好朋友玲玲的有关情况介绍给了劳拉，并将玲玲的联系地址和照片送给了她。
3、学情分析：学生对Daming和Sam很熟悉，但是本科新增加了两位新人物。另外，can的用法之前已经学习过，学生掌握情况不错，本节课重点在于巩固。
4、设计思路：复习—新授---听课文----读课文
三、教学过程
Step 1 ：Greetings.
T: Good morning!
How are you today?
What’s the weather like today?
Step 2 ：Sing the song: America, America.
Step 3 ：Presentation and pratice.
T: There will be an art show in our school, can you tell us what you can do？
The students report with : I can …… ./ I can’t …… .
Bb writing : I can …… .
When someone answers, ask the others: What can he/she do? Help the others to say: He/She can …… .
Bb writing : He/She can …… .
CAI shows the picture of Liuxiang.
Ask : How old is he? Where is he from? Where is he visiting? What can he do?
Get the students to answer according to the prompt of CAI.
Ask : Can you jump?
Bb writing : Can you …… ?
Ask the other students: Can he/she jump?(Bb writing.)
Help the others to say : Yes ,he/she can ./ No ,he/she can’t.
The same to talk about Yaoming .

Teach : pen pal. Pratice the new words.
