Step 3: Presentation
1. CAI shows the title. T says, “ Today we’ll learn Module 6 Unit 1.”
2. Show the pictures to learn:
run fast, swim fast, jump high, jump far, play basketball well,
play football well, catch the ball, not very well.
3. Listen to the dialogue with the questions:
a. Can Lingling run fast? b. Can Lingling catch the ball?
c. Can Lingling jump high? d. Can Lingling play basketball well?
4. Answer the questions:
a. No, she can’t. b. No, she can’t.
c. Yes, she can. She can jump really high!
d. Yes, she can. That’s true.
5. Listen to the dialogue again and repeat it sentence by sentence.
6. Ask and answer:
T: Let’s make a survey of the abilities.
T writes down the sentence patterns on the Bb:

7. Show a list of investigation, let Ss ask T the questions on the investigation. T fills the different faces in the list, meaning “Yes, I can.”, “Not very well.”, “No, I can’t.”
8. Show the summarization of the abilities of T.
9. Let Ss make a survey with their classmates or teachers, and finish the list.
10. Ask some Ss to choose one of the informants and talk about his / her abilities.
