1 Organize the students by greeting each other.Lead-in by asking the students some questionsTeach the new words and phrases. Greet.Answer the teacher’s question, and use some of the words to describe their English teacher. Repeat the new words after the teacher.
2 Show some pictures on the screen, ask the students: what does he/she look like Use the new words they’ve just learned to describe these famous persons’ images.
3 1. Point out the numbered list of words, and ask the Ss to match each word or phrases with one of the pictures.2. Play the recorder twice, ask the Ss to fill in the blanks in 1a, and find Amy’s friend. 1. Write the letter of each picture next to one of the words and phrases.2. Look at their books and listen carefully, fill in the blanks and find Amy’s friend.

4 suppose one of the people in the picture is your friend, describe him/her, your partner try to find him/her. Work in pairs, make up conversations, and then find the partner’s friend according to his/her description.
5 1. Show some exercises on the screen, ask the Ss to fininsh them.2. Play the recorder twice, ask the Ss to finish Activities 2a and 2b.3. Havethe Ss work in pairs to talk about the three people’s images. 1. Answer them by putting up right or left hands2. Listen carefull and do the two activities.3. Work in pairs, show the conversation to the whole class.
6 Lily has a new friend, her name is Nancy, pleas look at the pictures and describe her with your partner. Describe the girl in pairs, then check the answers with their partners.
7 Read a passage about a person’s appearance, ask the Ss to draw a picture according to the passage.Ask several students to come to the front to show their pictures and describe them. Listen carefully and draw pictures on the paper.Show the pictures to the whole class and describe them using the target language.
8 Ask the Ss to describe their new teacher. After preparing for a few miniutes, use the target language to describe the new teacher.
