【辨析】whole和all
whole和all都可以表示“全部……；整个……”，但用法不同
1) whole一般只能修饰单数可数名词，指完整的一个事物，一般不能修饰物质名词。
She wasn’t telling the whole truth .
2) all既可以修饰可数名词复数，表示“所有的”；又可以修饰不可数名词，表示“整个的……；全部的……”
All his plants have died. 他的花草全死了。

3. Let’s walk around the lake ,cross the bridge and climb up to Baita.让我们沿湖走走，穿过桥再爬上白塔。
cross v.穿过；越过；渡过。如：
It’s dangerous to cross the street. 横穿街道是很危险的。
【辨析】cross与across
cross是动词，意为“穿过、横过”；
across意为“穿过、横过”,是介词，常跟在walk，go
jump, swim等动词之后.如：
如：When you walk across the street you must be careful.
