born v. 出生(动词bear的过去分词) I was born in England．我出生在英国。be born意为“出生于”，一般只用于过去时态，即was born或were born。be born后面通常接时间或地点作状语。出生于某日用介词on，某年某月用in。例如：

②I the 15th of March，1985.

strict adj. 严格的，严肃的，严密的，严谨的。a strict teacher严师
【拓展】be strict with sb. 对某人要求严格
be strict in sth.表示对事物要求严格。例如：

be strict with后面往往跟人，表示对某人要求很严格。例如：
②她对她的女儿要求严格。She strict her daughter.
3) She was very friendly. 她非常友好。
friendly adj. 友好的，与其对应的名词为friend。其常用结构为：be friendly to sb.，意为“对某人友好”．例如：
我们的老师对我们很友好。Our teachers very us.
4)Becky was well-behaved at school，but Adam was naughty．
贝基在学校里表现很好，而亚当却很淘气。
这是一个由并列连词but连接的并列句，but表示转折关系，意为“但是”。例如：
数学很难，但是我很喜欢它。Math is difficult, I 1ike it very much.

该句型是一个特殊疑问句，用来询问某人的性格特征，基本结构为“What+ be+ like ”。
