一、教学内容分析：
本模块话题涉及国内外一些著名的城市，要求学生能就“城市”的话题进行交流。本课时是以“country? and? city”为主题，在这个主题中，学生普遍对国家的名称及其首都的名称非常熟悉，但部分学生对有关句型的实际运用有所遗忘。因此通过本节课的复习让达到学生温故而知新的目的，从而熟练掌握各国相对应的国籍、语言、首都、城市及著名建筑物名称。
二、教学目标：
1、语言知识：
1) 复习、巩固、运用和归纳所学过的单词：

1) 能用所学英语就 “城市” 的话题进行交流。
2) 能用英语谈论各国的国旗，首都以及大城市。
3) 熟悉掌握有关的国家|及其城市的句型并能运用于实际生活当中。
4) 学生能用已学知识写出相关的短文。
3、情感态度：
在学习过程中学会与同学相互协作，友好相处。
4、学习策略：
教学中组织形式多样的英语活动，运用多媒体辅助教学，让学生在“玩、演、视、听”中加大词汇的复现，从而深化学生对词汇和语言的掌握。
5、文化意识：
了解世界各国的国旗、首都，以及各大城市的标志性建筑物，增强学生的国际意识。
三、教学重点：
所学国家的国旗、首都、国籍、语言的了解及相关句型的运用。
四、教学难点：
1) 观察发现单词的一些规律来记忆单词；
2) 如何运用所学的英语知识进行写作。

学生通过看图和快速抢答游戏，及时巩固了国旗和国家的名称
5.Talk about the capital cities
课件出示中国国旗和天安门广场，T: What’s the capital city of China? 引导学生回答The capital of China is Beijing.继续出示国旗和有代表性建筑的城市图，引出Japan, the UK等国的首都。
学生用国旗和标志性建筑图来操练询问首都的句型
进行意义性操练，达到使用句型进行交际的目的。
6. Review the flags and the capital cities
电脑再次呈现各国的国旗和城市图，引导学生运用本课时的主要句型进行表述。然后进行快速抢答游戏。What national flag is it? It’s the Chinese national flag. What’s the capital city of America? WashingtonD.C
学生通过玩游戏，加深学生对国旗、首都和各城市标志性建筑的记忆。
