动词不定式(II)
本模块的语法项目是学习动词不定式作宾语补足语和目的状语的用法。
一、动词不定式作宾语补足语
宾语补足语是对宾语的补充说明,能接动词不定式作宾语补足语的动词分为后接带to的不定式和省略to的不定式两种。21·世纪*教育网
1. 接带to的不定式,即“动词+宾语+to+动词原形”。这类动词有allow,ask,advise,tell,want,choose,expect(盼望),invite,teach,order(命令)等。注意:这些动词后跟不定式作宾语补足语时,不定式符号to不可以省略。
例:My mother asked me asked me to buy some apples. 我妈妈叫我去买一些苹果。
The doctor advised me to drink more water. 医生建议我多喝水。
Tom’s mother told him not to eat too much meat. 汤姆的妈妈告诉他不要吃太多的肉。
2. 接省略to的不定式,即“动词+宾语+动词原形”。这类动词通常为使役动词和感官动词,可总结为:一感(feel),二听(listen to,hear),三使(let,make,have),五看(see,watch,notice,observe,look at)。这些动词后跟不定式作宾语补足语时,不定式符号to要省略。
例:The teacher made him say the word like this. 老师让他像这样说这个单词。
They heard him sing a song in the meeting room. 他们听见他在会议室里唱了一首歌。
3. 动词help后跟动词不定式作宾语补足语时,不定式符号to可以带,也可以不带。即表示“帮助某人做某事”,可用help sb. to do sth.,也可用help sb. do sth.。
例:Could you help me (to) carry the heavy box 你能帮我搬那个重箱子吗?
二、动词不定式作目的状语
动词不定式及其短语在句中也可作状语。其中最常见的是作目的状语。不定式作目的状语,通常用来表示行为动作的目的,意为“为了……”,既可放在句首,也可放在句尾。不定式作目的状语时,前面还可以加上in order或so as 以示强调,但要注意的是in order to可以用在句首,so as to 不可用在句首。【出处:21教育名师】
例:I came here to say goodbye to you. 我到这里来仅仅是为了向你告别。
I study hard in order to/ so as to pass the college entrance exam. 我努力学习是为了通过高考。

【拓展】动词不定式还可以作结果状语或原因状语。
例: He woke up to find everyone gone. 他醒来发现大家都走了。
The police search the room carefully to find nothing. 警察仔细搜查了房间,什么也没有找到。
I’m glad to see you here. 我在这里见到你很高兴。
(三)动词不定式在句中还可以作主语、表语或定语等。
1. 动词不定式作主语时,可位于句首,也可用it作形式主语,而把真正的主语动词不定式放在后面。 常用于以下句式中:
① It+be+名词+to do sth.
例:It’s our duty to take care of the old. 照顾好老人是我们的职责。
② It takes sb. +some time +to do sth.
例:How long did it take you to finish the work 你花了多长时间来完成这项工作?
③ It’s +形容词(+for/ of sb.)+to do.
例: It’s difficult for us to finish the homework in an hour. 我们难以在一小时内完成作业。
【注意】动词不定式作主语时,句中的谓语动词要用单数形式。
例:To change a job is not easy. 换一份工作不容易。
To save money in the bank is not possible now, we are in great need of it. 现在不可能存钱在银行里,我们正是缺钱的时候。
2. 动词不定式还可以作定语,不定式作定语时,通常放在所修饰的名词或代词的后面,作后置定语。
例:Do you have anything to say today 今天你有什么要说的吗?
He has much work to do every day. 他每天有许多工作要做。

在英语书面表达中,有时要求根据所给材料描述某种濒危的动物,以及它们濒危的原因,并指出我们人类应该采取什么措施来保护它们。写此类短文时,一般先总体概述这种濒危动物的生存现状,再具体分析这种动物的濒临灭绝的原因以及保护这种濒危动物的重要性,然后再列举拯救措施,最后发出呼吁人们应该怎样保护它们。
