1.素材分析
本单元的主要话题是谈论国内外的传统节日,了解节日习俗,感悟节日的意义,并通过节日来抒发自己的情感。本节课选自Unit5 Section A (3a-3c)部分,主要谈论中秋节的来历及中秋节的活动和意义,让学生了解中秋节的相关故事,体会“月满、情浓”的美好情意。
1)文本特征
文本的标题Full moon,Full feelings,以及文中的插图,都清晰地交代了本文的主题是介绍中秋节,文中介绍了嫦娥奔月的故事,引导学生对民间故事有所了解,并学会复述故事的能力。
2)文本特点
从文本的语言来看,文章不是很长,语言难度不是很大,只要给学生充足的时间,学生可以清楚地理解文本意思;从文本的结构来看,文章共有三个自然段,脉络清晰、易于理解。作为一篇故事为主的文章,本文首先简单介绍中秋节,然后介绍嫦娥奔月的传说,最后表达中秋的意义所在。从文本的内容来看,引导学生理解节日的意义,借助节日表达自己的祝福,感受暖暖的情意是本课的重点和难点。

【教学反思】
本课主要以节日文化为主线,引导学生认知节日的内涵和意义,并通过引导学生自主讨论,逐步聚焦到中秋节这一节日。文本的解读充分考虑了阅读材料故事性较强的特点,首先以人物角色和活动为经络,以故事的发生过程为序,以思维导图为纲,以开放性问题为创新点引导学生自主阅读,享受阅读的成就感,并引发学生思考家人和朋友的重要意义,教师在各个环节逐步对学生进行阅读情况的形成性评价。
教师首先引导学生了解故事起源、节日习俗、节日精神,进而理解中秋节文化背后的深刻内涵。在阅读教学中教师重视学生为主体的合作探究式学习能力的培养。整堂课以full为主线,对教学内容加工提炼,让教学内容中蕴含的隐性情感因素得以尽可能的发掘,从而使学生获得相应的情感体验。整节课在解读文本信息的过程中自始至终体现圆满和团圆的精神,并利用民间神话故事的特点让学生提炼出超越文本内容的审美,这不仅是对英语语言美的升华,更是对文学作品人文性、跨文化交流性的良好诠释。

Stage 1 Getting students ready for learning
Say hello to the students and show them “full feelings”
Stage 2 Pre-reading
Show a circle on the slide and ask them what they think of when they see the circle. And if the circle can make them feel happy.
