教案
Students situation:
九年级一二班共87人，学生的基础都不好，个别同学更是对英语没有兴趣，认为英语太难。因此，在课堂上我尽量用活动的方式让学生都能有兴趣并参与到课堂中来，此外在学习课文及知识点的时候讲解慢一些，以便让学生都能跟得上，对个别知识点进行重点强调讲解，让学生能有所收获。

Teaching steps：
一、Warm-up
1、Greeting. 2、Review.
3、Talk about Confucius.
二、Presentation
1、通过刚刚的讨论，老师小结，创设语境，学习新单词。（老师教读，带读，请学生读）2、听1a,完成1b.并核对答案。3、观看1a的动画。4、讲解1a的课文内容，勾画重点单词、词组和句子，要求学生掌握。5、重点讲解知识点who, whose和whom在定语从句中的区别用法.（举例) He was a great thinker who had many wise ideas about human nature and behavior. He was also a famous philosopher whose wise sayings have influenced many people in different countries.
He was really a great man from whom I can learn a lot.
三、Practice
1、观看1a 动画，让学生再次感受语境，复习知识点。2、跟读1a 的对话。（个别难句老师提出并带读）
四、Consolidation
以小组的形式复述1a,并巩固先行词who, whose和whom。
五、Summary
1、齐读复习总结所学单词和词组。2、再次通过所学句子强调讲解先行词who, whose和whom的区别用法。六、Project 探究孔子的名言1. He who learns but does not think is lost; he who thinks but does not learn is in danger.
