教案
Students situation:
九年级一二班共87人,学生的基础都不好,个别同学更是对英语没有兴趣,认为英语太难。因此,在课堂上我尽量用活动的方式让学生都能有兴趣并参与到课堂中来,此外在学习课文及知识点的时候讲解慢一些,以便让学生都能跟得上,对个别知识点进行重点强调讲解,让学生能有所收获。
Teaching aims:
学生能听、说、认读新单词及词组B.C. 公元前thinker 思想家wise 明智的kindness 仁慈,善良philosopher 哲学家influence影响whom 谁(宾格)in the field of 在……领域be lost 迷路be in danger 处在危险之中2、能掌握who, whose和whom在定语从句中的区别用法3、能理解掌握1a的内容,并能熟读对话。Teaching keys and difficulties:

Teaching steps:
一、Warm-up
1、Greeting. 2、Review.
3、Talk about Confucius.
二、Presentation
1、通过刚刚的讨论,老师小结,创设语境,学习新单词。(老师教读,带读,请学生读)2、听1a,完成1b.并核对答案。3、观看1a的动画。4、讲解1a的课文内容,勾画重点单词、词组和句子,要求学生掌握。5、重点讲解知识点who, whose和whom在定语从句中的区别用法.(举例) He was a great thinker who had many wise ideas about human nature and behavior. He was also a famous philosopher whose wise sayings have influenced many people in different countries.
He was really a great man from whom I can learn a lot.
三、Practice
1、观看1a 动画,让学生再次感受语境,复习知识点。2、跟读1a 的对话。(个别难句老师提出并带读)
四、Consolidation
以小组的形式复述1a,并巩固先行词who, whose和whom。
五、Summary
1、齐读复习总结所学单词和词组。2、再次通过所学句子强调讲解先行词who, whose和whom的区别用法。六、Project 探究孔子的名言1. He who learns but does not think is lost; he who thinks but does not learn is in danger.

1、Read the conversation in 1a aloud. 2、Remember the new words.
