Passage
1
For
three
weeks
this
summer
I
decided
to
leave
the
hustle
and
bustle
of
London
to
experience
a
completely
new
adventure
in
Costa
Rica.
For
the
first
two
weeks
I
lived
with
a
local
family
in
the
capital,
San
José,
whilst
volunteering
as
an
English
teacher
for
adults.
I
spent
my
last
week
on
the
Pacific
coast
in
a
town
called
Quepos,
a
short
bus
journey
from
the
beach
where
I
surfed
every
day.
Whilst
I
was
in
Costa
Rica,
I
saw
many
beautiful
places
and
did
some
amazing
things.
In
one
weekend
I
did
a
zip-lining
tour
through
a
jungle
and
visited
a
volcano
and
several
stunning
waterfalls.
During
my
final
week
I
visited
Manuel
Antonio
National
Park
several
times
and
saw
sloths,
iguanas
and
plenty
of
monkeys
(who
love
to
steal
people’s
belongings).
Even
though
I
have
countless
memories
from
the
trip,
there
are
a
few
which
I
will
never
be
able
to
forget.
I
like
to
call
these
memories
moments
of
true
happiness.
I
define
these
as
moments
when
my
mind
completely
lets
go
of
all
worries
and
problems
and
replaces
them
with
a
feeling
of
complete
happiness.
The
first
time
this
happened
in
Costa
Rica
was
when
I
went
zip-lining.
The
final
zip-wire
was
called
the
‘superman
wire’.
On
this
wire,
you
wear
a
full-body
harness
and
you
travel
horizontally,
instead
of
in
a
sitting-up
position.
For
a
couple
of
minutes
I
felt
like
I
was
flying
and
I
could
see
the
beautiful
jungle
beneath
me.
It
happened
again
during
one
of
my
surf
lessons.
I
had
fallen
off
many
times,
but
finally
I
managed
to
catch
a
wave
with
no
help
from
the
instructors.
It
felt
incredible!
The
final
time
it
happened
was
at
the
end
of
an
afternoon
of
hiking.
It
was
a
really
hot
day
and
I
had
been
walking
all
the
different
hiking
trails
in
the
National
Park.
After
a
while
I
stopped
at
one
of
the
beaches,
buried
my
bag
so
the
monkeys
couldn’t
steal
it
and
ran
into
the
water
to
cool
off.
It
was
the
best
feeling!
Passage
2
Earlier
this
year
I
visited
Europe
with
two
of
my
friends
from
university.
We
stopped
in
four
cities:
Amsterdam,
Berlin,
Prague
and
Cologne.
I
absolutely
loved
all
of
the
cities,
but
Berlin
was
probably
my
favourite
of
them
all.
I
am
very
interested
in
history,
in
particular
the
world
wars
and
so
there
were
so
many
exciting
things
for
me
to
see
in
Berlin.
My
favourite
place
there
was
probably
the
East
Side
Gallery
where
part
of
the
wall
that
is
still
standing
has
been
decorated
with
artwork.
My
favourite
section
of
the
wall
was
the
very
famous
painting
of
the
two
politicians
kissing.
After
my
friends
and
I
walked
along
the
wall
and
saw
all
of
the
artwork,
we
stopped
at
a
street
stall
to
sample
the
very
famous
German
‘currywurst’,
which
is
basically
sausages
covered
with
curry
sauce
and
ketchup.
Normally
I
don’t
like
sausages
but
I
had
to
try
them
whilst
I
was
in
Germany
and
they
were
so
tasty!
As
well
as
the
gallery,
you
can
also
visit
a
section
of
the
wall
that
has
been
made
into
a
museum.
This
was
very
interesting
as
there
were
plaques
that
told
stories
of
people
who
tried
to
cross
the
wall
into
West
Berlin.
Although
it
was
very
interesting,
the
museum
was
a
very
sad
place
to
visit
as
many
people
died
trying
to
cross
the
wall
at
this
point.
One
of
the
other
places
that
we
visited
in
Berlin
was
the
Reichstag
building.
This
is
the
building
where
Berlin’s
parliament,
called
the
Bundestag,
meets.
On
top
of
the
Reichstag
building
there
is
a
huge
dome
which
you
can
walk
to
the
top
of.
From
the
dome
you
can
see
across
the
whole
of
the
city.
On
the
day
that
we
visited
the
Reichstag,
Angela
Merkel
was
there,
but
unfortunately
we
didn’t
get
to
see
her.
If
you
are
considering
visiting
Berlin,
I
would
definitely
recommend
it.
There
are
lots
of
things
to
do
there;
if
you
like
history
you
can
visit
many
of
the
museums,
and
if
not,
you
could
always
go
shopping
in
Alexanderplatz,
a
very
famous
square
in
Berlin.
Passage
3
Australia
was
always
a
country
I
wanted
to
visit
so
I
saved
up
some
money
and
booked
a
flight
to
go
travelling
up
the
East
Coast
at
the
end
of
my
work
placement
in
France.
I
had
some
friends
studying
there
this
year
so
it
was
the
perfect
opportunity
to
travel
around
and
see
friends
as
well
as
explore
some
new
places
on
my
own.
The
flight
made
me
realise
exactly
how
far
away
Australia
is
from
home.
I
spent
10
hours
travelling
on
a
plane
from
London
to
Hong
Kong,
then
a
further
8
hours
to
Sydney,
my
first
stop
in
Australia.
The
flight
went
quite
quickly
though,
since
there
were
lots
of
films
to
watch
to
keep
me
entertained.
It
was
strange
when
I
arrived
because
everything
is
upside
down
over
there;
it
was
the
start
of
winter
(in
May)!
Fortunately
for
me
the
weather
was
still
hot
and
sunny
though.
It
also
took
me
a
while
to
get
used
to
the
time
difference,
as
I
was
always
one
day
ahead
of
all
my
friends
and
family
back
home.
The
country
is
truly
beautiful,
full
of
incredible
views
and
wildlife
you
wouldn't
find
anywhere
else
in
the
world.
One
of
the
highlights
of
my
trip
was
visiting
a
koala
sanctuary
in
Brisbane
-
there
were
koalas
everywhere
sleeping
in
the
eucalyptus
trees
and
I
even
got
the
chance
to
hold
one.
I
learnt
lots
of
facts
about
koalas
too
-
did
you
know
they
can
sleep
for
up
to
22
hours
a
day
to
conserve
energy
That's
a
very
long
time!
At
the
sanctuary
there
was
also
a
big
lawn
full
of
kangaroos
that
we
were
allowed
to
feed
and
stroke.
They
were
really
cute
and
very
friendly.
There
was
also
a
snake
show
which
featured
a
huge
long
snake,
although
I
kept
my
distance
as
I'm
not
a
big
fan
of
snakes.
Another
highlight
of
my
trip
was
snorkelling
in
the
Great
Barrier
Reef,
as
the
water
was
amazingly
clear
and
a
beautiful
shade
of
blue.
I
also
got
the
chance
to
spot
some
incredible
creatures,
such
as
sea
turtles
and
even
a
shark.
I
loved
visiting
everywhere
from
the
stunning
mountains
and
waterfalls
in
the
National
Parks
to
the
long
white
sandy
beaches.
It's
an
incredible
country
and
worth
visiting
one
day
if
you
ever
get
the
chance.
I'm
already
dreaming
of
going
back,
especially
since
it's
raining
back
in
England
at
the
moment,
and
it's
meant
to
be
summer
over
here!
Passage
4
Europe
is
a
great
place
to
explore,
as
I
have
quickly
realised!
There
are
so
many
amazing
places
to
visit
so
make
sure
you
do
it
right.
Here
are
a
few
dos
and
don’ts
which
I
have
learnt
during
my
travels
around
Europe.
I
hope
you
find
them
helpful
and
please
feel
free
to
comment
with
any
of
your
own
tips
for
travelling.
DO
make
sure
you
save
up
enough
money
beforehand.
The
last
thing
you
want
to
happen
is
your
trip
to
be
cut
short
because
you’ve
ran
out
of
money!
You
need
to
prepare
financially
for
your
trip
before
you
set
off.
Some
people
may
go
with
the
intention
to
earn
money
whilst
they’re
travelling
but
you
have
to
be
realistic.
Finding
a
job
on
the
way,
which
is
willing
to
hire
you
for
a
very
short
amount
of
time,
whilst
paying
you
enough
to
fund
your
travels
is
very
unlikely,
therefore
make
sure
that
you
have
enough
money
saved
up
before
you
go!
DO
try
to
find
the
best
mode
of
transport.
This
depends
on
your
own
preference.
You
need
to
look
around,
spend
time
researching
the
best
modes
of
transport
and
remember
that
as
well
as
public
transport;
buses,
trains,
planes,
ferries
etc.
you
can
also
find
transport
using
websites
such
as
‘blablacar’
where
you
can
share
car
journeys
with
other
people
who
are
driving
to
the
same
place.
From
my
experience,
I
have
learnt
that
the
more
uncomfortable
the
journey
is,
the
cheaper
it
is,
for
example
a
seven
hour
bus
ride
through
the
night
costs
a
fraction
of
the
price
of
a
half
an
hour
flight.
So
it’s
up
to
you
to
decide
whether
it’s
worth
it!
DO
spend
time
choosing
your
accommodation.
Although
travelling
needs
to
have
a
sense
of
spontaneity
in
order
to
keep
it
exciting,
taking
time
to
make
sure
that
you’ve
chosen
the
best
place
to
stay,
really
does
pay
off.
Believe
me,
there
are
so
many
different
options
in
Europe
…
from
campsites
to
hotels,
hostels,
B&Bs
(bed
and
breakfast)
…
even
pitching
up
a
tent
wherever
you
find
a
nice
spot,
you
have
to
consider
every
option.
Also,
it’s
very
helpful
to
look
at
the
reviews
of
your
accommodation
choices;
it
will
give
you
an
insight
into
the
type
of
place
it
is.
For
instance,
if
you’re
looking
for
lots
of
partying
and
nightlife
then
a
family
B&B
is
not
for
you
and
the
reviews
will
be
quick
to
highlight
the
type
of
place
it
is.
DO
make
the
most
of
the
culture.
Embrace
the
differences
of
your
surroundings
and
try
to
sample
the
traditions,
who
knows
when
you’ll
be
back
again
…
if
ever!
So
make
the
most
of
it.
DO
make
sure
that
you’ll
remember
the
experience
forever!
Take
pictures
and
videos,
buy
postcards
and
souvenirs,
write
a
journal
…
whatever
it
takes.
At
the
time
it
will
seem
like
you’ll
never
forget
it
so
it
can
be
tempting
to
put
it
off,
but
you’ll
be
surprised
at
how
easily
your
memories
can
blur
into
one.
It’s
always
so
nice
to
look
back
on
your
time
travelling
at
a
later
date
to
refresh
your
memory
and
it
can
also
be
so
much
fun
to
make
memories
by
taking
pictures
and
writing
along
the
way.
DO
meet
new
people
and
make
travel
buddies
along
the
way.
Whilst
travelling,
it’s
easy
to
meet
other,
like-minded
travellers
too.
It
can
be
great
fun
to
make
friends
and
travel
together,
often
they’ll
be
from
different
countries
and
it’ll
be
a
great
opportunity
to
find
out
about
even
more
cultures
and
also
to
tell
them
about
your
own.
Who
knows,
you
may
even
make
friends
for
life!
When
it
comes
to
travelling,
the
more
the
merrier!
DON’T
be
scared
to
travel
alone.
In
contrast
to
my
previous
point,
for
some
people
they
may
prefer
to
travel
on
their
own,
which
is
not
a
problem!
By
doing
this
you
will
be
free
to
go
wherever
and
whenever
you
want.
You
won’t
have
to
wait
for
anyone
else
or
argue
about
where
to
go
next,
instead
you
can
do
as
you
please.
Although
having
travel
buddies
can
be
great,
for
some
it
may
feel
inhibiting
so
don’t
be
scared
to
go
it
alone.
DON’T
be
tempted
to
stay
inside
all
day.
Being
in
a
foreign
country
can
seem
extremely
daunting
but
don’t
let
it
get
it
to
you!
Go
out
and
explore
and
you
will
soon
feel
better
and
at
ease.
Remember
why
you
went
there
in
the
first
place
and
make
sure
that
you
make
the
most
of
it.
DON’T
spend
your
money
like
there's
no
tomorrow;
remember
your
supply
is
not
ever-lasting.
Having
no
permanent
house
(or
kitchen)
means
eating
out
…
a
lot!
Try
to
keep
the
costs
to
a
minimum
so
that
you
can
spend
that
money
elsewhere.
Also,
don’t
buy
too
many
things
along
the
way
because
you
will
have
to
transport
it
all
and
you
do
not
want
to
be
throwing
things
away!
DON’T
forget
to
keep
in
touch
with
family
and
friends
from
home.
Remember
to
let
them
know
that
you’re
OK,
send
them
a
postcard,
call
them,
or
even
just
send
a
quick
text!
Although
you
may
be
having
the
time
of
your
life,
living
the
care-free
dream
you’ve
always
wanted,
don’t
forget
that
there
may
still
be
people
sat
at
home
worrying
about
you
so
put
their
minds
at
rest
by
letting
them
know
how
you
are.
DON’T
be
careless.
We
all
like
to
have
fun
but
you
should
always
keep
your
eyes
open
and
be
aware
of
your
surroundings.
Being
in
a
foreign
country
which
you’re
not
used
to,
can
be
dangerous
and
scary
at
the
best
of
times
so
make
sure
that
you’re
always
in
control
and
that
you
look
after
yourself!(共50张PPT)

(二)名词的所有格
名词的所有格表示名词的所有关系,意思为“…的”。名词所有格的构成方法是:

's”。如:Lily’s,
Mary’s等。
2、以-s或-es
结尾的复数名词只加“’”,

。如:Children's
