教材分析:
本课时围绕different countries, different customs 为话题来进行读、写活动。描述自己或他人在不同场合应该做什么be supposed to do sth,不应该做什么be (not) supposed to do sth。讨论不同国家的风俗习惯,如初次见面的礼仪,餐桌礼仪等,进一步提高文明意识,养成良好的行为习惯,培养学习兴趣。根据新课标对学生阅读能力的培养要求不断提高,我将本课设计为一堂任务型阅读课。
一、 教学目标
1.知识与能力目标
(1)了解各国见面礼仪和习俗,以及相关的词汇,培养学生读、写能力。
(2)有效提高阅读速度和理解材料的准确度
(3)能灵活运用所学知识自如表达本课重点话题。
2.过程与方法:
进行阅读能力的训练,应用学习技巧Learning strategies:
comparing和 reading for key words.
3.情感态度价值观
了解各国风俗礼仪,体验西方人的日常生活乐趣。
二、 重点和难点
1.重点:
提高学生快速阅读的水平。

亮点:
1. 让学生分组预习单词,以保证学生能快速理解课文,促使学生养成自学的习惯和能力。
2. 让学生通过翻译课文中的重点句子,达到全面理解课文之目的。
3.创设问题情境,激发学生读课文的积极性,开展小组活动,达到全面理解的目的。
4.对课文学习重在阅读,力求复述,分层次要求复述,程度中下等可看课件复述,成绩优秀的学生,可用自己的语言复述。培养学生的阅读能力和复述课文的能力,锻炼学生的思维能力和口头表达能力。
5. “翻译探究”的主要目的是变老师讲解语言知识为学生自学语言知识,通过观察、比较、归纳、探究,形成有效的学习策略。
不足之处:
1.上课前的互动如果换成两两表演效果会更好。
2.本节课课堂容量大,有一部分学生课文理解能力还有待提高。
使用建议:
1.多开展小组课文阅读探究活动。
2.词汇必须首先掌握。

Learn the customs in Colombia and in Switzerland and practice expressing the customs by reading the passage.
二、语言知识
1.词汇和常用表达:
Learn and use the words and expressions: relaxed, value, capital, noon, mad, effort, passport, chalk, blackboard, northern, coast, season, knock, eastern, worth, manner, drop by, after all, get mad, make an effort, clean…off, take off.

1. 依据文章所给图片,预测(predicting)文章内容。
2.通过略读(skimming)的方式,猜测文章大意。
3.借助关键词,通过寻读 (scanning)的方式,找寻细节内容。
四、情感目标:

Pre-reading:
Step One Preview预习单词及短语或者句子
1. Preview the new words
Get the students to read the new words according to phonetic symbols(音标): relaxed, value, capital, noon, mad, effort, passport, chalk, blackboard, northern, coast, season, knock, eastern, worth, manner, drop by, after all, get mad, make an effort, clean…off, take off. Then check the students’ pronunciations.
[操作说明]将班里学生分成4-6人小组,兼顾不同层次的学生。每个小组先由中等生根据音标读出单词,再由学优生纠正读音;然后教会学困生朗读,直至组内学生全部会读单词。
[设计意图]让学生分组预习单词,以保证学生能快速理解课文,促使学生养成自学的习惯和能力。
2. Ask the students to say out these words and phrases orally according to the Chinese. If they can, they can close their books and write them down.

[设计意图]让学生提前感知课文,掌握基本的单词和短语,便于学生理解和掌握课文。
