本单元是新目标英语七年级下册unit6。主要围绕“what?are?you?doing?”这一主题展开各种教学活动，并以这一主题引出现在进行时的一般疑问句，否定句以及特殊疑问句等语言功能。本单元旨在创造一个轻松、愉快的学习、交流环境，通过听、说、读、写来培养学生综合运用这些知识的能力。并让学生能在“做中学”（learning?by?doing），通过有限的课堂实践活动，注意观察别人的行动，能准确地用英语来表达。Section?A?1a－1c部分是本单元的第一课时，这一课时通过常见的一些动词短语引出现在进行时的教学，学好本课对以后的section?B部分的学习起了很好的铺垫作用。
课后反思
本课一开始通过和学生用英语交流和chant来创造英语学习的氛围，学生们反应比较好。利用图片让学生练习现在进行时态，在这个环节中学生们积极发言，锻炼了学生们的思维能力和表达能力，他们的英语水平得到了很大的提高。通过抢答练习激发了学生的学习积极性。同时也提高了他们的观察能力和判断能力，激发他们对英语学习的兴趣和热情，在接近生活常态的交际中乐于模仿，敢于开口，积极参与。接下来通过观察句子的共同点归纳出现在进行时态的结构和用法。然后通过做练习题考查学生们对知识的掌握情况。可以看出学生能很熟练的运用现在进行时态。
在教学过程中，关注学生的生活实际和生活体验，让其贴近生活。树立以学生为本的思想，提倡学生参与，体验，亲身实践，独立思考，合作探究。使学生的学习积极性和语言表达能力得到很大的提高。
但也有不少的遗憾，新课程的主旨主要是“以学生为主体，把课堂还给学生，教师的角色定位于示范者、引导者、合作者。本人根据以学生为中心的教学思路，设计了大量问答、叙述、表演、讨论，可由于紧张了漏掉了学生的表演、讨论语言的实践活动。没有完全让学生得到实际操练过程。忽略了尊重学生的思想情感和个体差异，没能真正体现学习的主人是这一宗旨，也导致时间缩短了2分钟。
