教材分析
本堂课使用到的是人教版九年级英语教材,对应的是这本书中第八单元的内容: Unit 8 It must belong to Carla. 这个单元讨论的话题是对神秘事件进行推测,而听说部分关注的是物品的所属情况。本单元涉及的语法是正确运用must , might, could, can’t进行推断。这属于情态动词的用法,这部分知识与七年级下册第一单元、八年级上册第九单元、八年级上册第十单元、九年级第七单元的语法知识同属于一类。学生们结合相关的话题和语汇,循序渐进地掌握了众多情态动词的各种用法。
这个单元除了重点学习情态动词,还学习了用belong to 来表示所属关系,这个知识点与学生在七年级上册的形容词性物主代词和名词性物主代词紧密联系,丰富了学生表达物品属于谁的语汇。
本书的设置以及材料的选择非常贴近生活,学生在对话部分对遗漏物品进行推测,这个场景对学生而言十分常见,他们能够很熟练地进行自主对话。Section B 的设置具有戏剧性,也让学生在做听力的时候兴趣浓厚。在细节听力上,学生要对情态动词进行填空。并且在听力结束后马上就有习题进行巩固,这也给学生机会进行语法使用的总结。而且课本用英文表述的方法: Use “must” to show that you think something is probabaly true. Use “might” or “could” to show that you think something is prossibly true. Use “can’t “to show that yopu are almost sure soemthing is not true. 这种形式有利于学生在英语的语境中去把握语法。其实这些情态动词的用法在以前的学习中都接触过,学生们并不觉得陌生,所以这部分的内容说是学习,更多的其实是复习。这也是为什么我在上这堂课以前就布置了学生观看微视频并进行自主总结。
教学反思
本次教学最大的创新点是课程整合,听说和阅读分开两个独立的课时进行授课,把section A 和section B的听力进行了有机结合并在听说课上进行了完整呈现。本节课最大的亮点是恰到好处的运用了大课文阅读的内容,通过小组口头讨论把口语练习和阅读的内容进行了完美的结合。本节课最大的收获是进行了分层教学的大胆尝试,学生们按照自己的层次,各有所获,在自身能力的基础上有了相应的提高。
本次教学也有一些不足之处。因为这堂课是听说课,所以学生说应该占相当大的比重。但是由于这堂课的听力内容比较多,要是想涵盖section A 和section B两部分的听力,听得内容势必占用了较长的时间。所以口头表达这一块还需要在其他课时进行再次的操练。不足之处是在小组讨论着一块,部分学生由于平时的词汇量比较少,一旦讨论深入一些的话题,对这部分学生而言有较大的难度。如果能够设计分层次的话题讨论会更加理想。
