第一课时—— Section A 1a-2d:
本部分通过图文导入俱乐部招聘以及学生应聘的情境,并在此情境中输入谈论能力、介绍及选择俱乐部等相关句型和相关词汇,以及招聘海报的典型文本。
1a-1c 是本单元的导入部分。1a 通过主题图集中呈现有关才能及俱乐部名称的核心词汇和句型,主题图展现的是学校俱乐部招募新成员的场景,为本单元语言交流提供了一个真实的语境。1b 以听力训练的方式呈现谈论才能以及选择加入俱乐部的核心句型。1c 是一个控制性较强的两人小组活动,巩固1a 和 1b 出现的词汇和句型。
2a – 2d 部分的重点是听说教学。此部分的语境更加丰富真实,听力内容也更加丰富,听力活动也区分了层次。2a 需要学生圈出关键俱乐部名称,2b 考察的内容更加具体。2c 是针对听力内容的简单对话。2d 以加入俱乐部为话题,提供了一个语境完整、内容丰富的对话,自然呈现本单元的核心句型,为学生进一步输出语言提供了口语范例。
本部分的重点是一些动词和动词短语,难点是句子中肯定式can 和否定式can’t 的读音,因为两者听起来很相近。
第二课时—— Grammar Focus
本部分归纳、梳理了本单元的重要语言结构,并通过层次分明和循序渐进的活动,引导学生逐步掌握本单元主要语言知识,并培养学生在具体语境中运用语言知识进行交际的能力。具体任务如下
掌握情态动词Can 的肯定句和一般疑问句及其肯定、否定回答;
学会灵活运用can 的多种否定形式:can’t, can not, cannot;
掌握实义动词want 在一般现在时中的用法。
了解询问对方才能的特殊疑问句及其问答,以及询问加入俱乐部倾向的问句和回答;
3a 是控制性较强的组句活动,训练can 在肯定句、一般疑问句和否定句中的回答;
3b 通过填写广告让学生在真实语境中练习can 的用法,同时让学生熟悉招聘海报这种实用文体,为后面的阅读和写作做铺垫;
3c 是一个较开放的口语活动,需要学生进行小组调查,然后汇报调查结果,让学生在真实语境中运用can 表达自己所能做的事情。
第三课时——Section B 1
活动1a – 1c :
出示drums, piano, guitar, violin 的图片并教学新单词。
做游戏(guessing game)巩固生词。让学生猜测乐器名称。
完成1b 任务,让学生说出序号和与之对应的乐器,可以利用网络资源,听歌曲学单词。
1c 示范对话,学生可以依据自己的实际水平自由发挥,围绕既定话题展开较为真实的交谈。学生双人活动,师生共同对表演者的语音语调、肢体动作、拓展内容等进行评价。
活动 1d – 1f:
听前预测(这是一个很重要的听力策略)。学生看1d 图片,教师说出具体情境。教师引导学生根据所获线索进行综合,对将要听到的内容产生预测,以减轻学生听力负担。
听力训练 1d ,让学生圈出所听到的单词。
引导学生理解1e , 播放听力录音,学生填写表格,提醒学生捕捉关键词汇或信息。
运用1e 听力材料,学生四人小组开展角色朗读,表演对话。
拓展活动:小组造句竞赛,使用and 或 but ,在规定时间内将所造的句子写在纸上。
第四课时——Section B 2:
活动2a-2c:
阅读3篇人物介绍,让学生在三人能做的事情上划线。然后齐声朗读三篇介绍。
快速阅读,抓关键词。限时阅读是培养学生快速阅读的有效方法。给学生2-3分钟速读三则招聘广告,然后给广告选择适当的标题。这个阅读活动实际上训练了学生把握语篇主旨的能力,尤其是抓住语篇关键词的能力。
细读三则广告,着重细节理解。充分利用语篇资源,精心设计阅读练习,让学生进一步理解广告内容和思路,为后面的撰写广告、海报做铺垫。
重难点解析,巩固语法和词汇知识。让学生根据语境猜测短语含义,同时拓展运用。
双人讨论,阅读心得。让学生根据三则广告把握招聘广告常用句型的表达方式,为撰写广告做好准备工作。
写前预热,处理核心词汇并解释情境。让学生阅读一则广告并用方框中的单词填空。
小组讨论,写作输出。学生每四个人一个小组,从给定的五个广告题目当中选择一个自己感兴趣的广告标题,运用刚才所总结的常用句型,撰写一则招聘广告。
朗读广告,成果展示。每组选出一则优秀的招聘广告,到前台朗读,然后张贴到黑板上的苹果树上,共享优美习作。
课堂小结,自主探究。学生总结自己所学到的知识,思维导图小结归纳。
作业布置,必做和选做相结合,既体现层次感,又帮助学生将理论联系实践,将课堂上所学的语言知识拓展延伸。

What do you do to relax? Do you watch TV? Do you read a book? Or do you listen to music? How many of us actually play a musical instrument? How many of us go to concerts? How important is music in our lives? What kind of music do we like? The survey above shows the musical habits of a few of our readers.
