教材分析
本单元的话题是“Do you want to watch a game show？”,以谈论“TV shows”为主线，将不同电视节目的名称融入到小组活动中去，并且学会谈论对不同节目的喜恶，从而达成目标语言。
本节课是Section B的第一课，是一节听读课，第一部分重点呈现电视节目的表达，以及表达对不同电视节目喜恶的形容词。第二部分扩展到听力，在第一部分的基础上扩展到第三人称对不同电视节目的谈论，在充分练习听力的基础上加强对话和沟通，为下一环节的阅读写作做好准备，既巩固了目标语言的学习，又培养了学生的合作和交际能力。在话题上，围绕TV shows，进而引入cartoon，形象地描绘了Mickey这个卡通人物，与此同时，渗透了不同的阅读方法和技巧，培养了学生听、说、读的综合能力。
现在我们流行这样一种说法：一节课老师最多讲15分钟，剩下的要么是开展活动，要么就是让学生自学。叶圣陶先生曾说过：讲当然是必要的，问题可能在如何看待讲和怎样讲。可见教师并不是不能讲，而是要“精要地讲”。新课标英语中每单元至少有两篇阅读材料，我们现在一般都采用阅读教学法，通过发现问题、分析问题、解决问题来获得知识，强调自学与合作学习。因此在本节的教学设计中，我遵循新课程标准，侧重了以下方面：
1．创设真实的语言环境，鼓励学生大胆地使用英语，表达自己的观点，并对学生的观点及时地给予肯定，让学生获得成功的体验。
2．对阅读材料中的重点、难点和关键之处，在学生自读、自悟的基础上进行重点讲解，该挖掘处必挖掘，该品味，该讲深讲透的地方必须讲深讲透。?
3. 关注学生情感，创造民主、自由、和谐的教学气氛。把英语教学与情感培养有机地结合起来，在各种合作学习的活动中，促进学生互相学习，互相帮助，培养学生的合作意识和团队精神，
但是本节课仍然有很多不足的地方，比如说在听力方面，学生在进行了听力练习之后，只是简单地完成了给定任务，没有对听力原文好好地利用，如果对听力原文进行阅读和复述，那样学生的理解层次会更深入一些，目标语言的运用也会更灵活一些。
