Sentence patterns 1 First aid is a temporary form of help given to someone who suddenly falls ill or gets injured before a doctor can be found.

when, while, if, once等连词连接从句时,当从句的主语与主句的主语一致,同时谓语动词为be时,可以省略从句的主语和be动词。

当从句中缺少语法成分(主语、宾语、表语)时,引导词多使用what, 不缺少语法成分而语意通畅时使用that, 不缺少语法成分,而语义又不通畅时,在其他疑问词,如where, when, how many, whether 等词中选择,使语意通畅。
