Lead-in and intruction1.Ask the students the followin questions and lead in the new class.Do you enjoy music Which kind of music do you like most 2.Then ask the students to discuss the questions with their partners, a few minutes later, ask 3 students to give their opinions.2. Pre-reading1)Have you ever listened to famus piano music 2)Then how much do you know about Beethoven 3)Besides Beethoven,which musicians do you know 4)Look at the three pictures on the screen,do you know who they are 5)Then how much do you know about their backgroundThey are all world-class musicians. They brought beautiful music to the world.If you want to know more about them,let’s do some reading. Listen to the teacher.Answer the teacher’s questions.Discuss with each other.Yes .We have listened to the Ninth Symphony of Beethoven.We only know he is a gifted musician and when he was over thirty years old, he went deaf.Mozart and Chopin. Make sure the students can recognise the words and know how to readHelp ss know more about the musicians.Through the discussion , make ss realise what we will learn in the class.Help the students concetrate on the subject of this class.
