It was made of tons of amber and decorated with gold and jewels, which took the country’s best artists about 10 years to make. So the design of it was in the fancy style popular in those days.
Then it was handed to his son, but he didn’t want to keep it, so he sent it to Peter the Great, which served as a reception hall there. When Catherine Ⅱ came to power, she had it moved to her summer palace, and told her artists to add more details to it, which made the room become more splendid.
unfortunately, in 1941 the German Nazi invaded Russia, and stole the room secretly. Ever since, no one has seen it. What happened to it remains a mystery.
