本单元是九年制义务教育教科书,九年级全一册Unit3? It must belong to Carla。本节课是第三课时(Section?B?1a-2e),本部分通过对疑似外星人事件的讨论逐步过渡到对巨石阵的介绍,语言输入量较大,是对Section A所学知识的巩固、拓展与提升。
1a-1d部分落实听说训练,在Section A的基础上进一步拓展听力输入和拓展话题内容。借助1a的看图说话和1b-1d的听力围绕外星人事件,培养学生从听力材料中提取单元目标语言和重要信息的能力,并进一步巩固情态动词表示推测的用法。2a-2c为本单元的阅读板块,学生通过阅读了解英国的巨石阵,并找出巨石阵的神秘之处,以及文中对巨石阵用处的各种推测。2d-2e是对阅读的板块的巩固与拓展,作为一个拓展性的活动,学生除了对连接词的使用进行巩固,还需要思考在中国或世界上还有哪些类似巨石阵这样神秘的地方,它们为什么神秘以及学生对于这些地方了解多少内容等进行讨论。引导学生热爱世界,热爱自然,热爱生活!
学情分析
本单元教学对象是初四年级的学生(即15-16岁年龄段的)。他们是思想趋于成熟,但仍处于叛逆期的孩子,行为及想法更倾向于自由、独立,通过以前的英语学习,一部分学生有很好的基础,但有少数学生学习目的不明确,克服困难的决心和勇气不大;也有部分学生因为上学年在英语方面学得不踏实,掉了队,从而丧失了学习的信心和勇气,对于这部分学生要想鼓励他们重新树立起信心比较困难,在上学年的教学中就已经产生了比较严重的两级分化,如果这部分学生不能赶上来的话,那么本期的两级分化现象将会更加严重,这是在本期教学中如何克服的最大的难题。因此,在教学中,要扬长避短,面向全体,课堂内容及难度要适合大多数学生,在课堂上我准备利用多媒体辅助教学,同时采用启发引导、组织讨论、小组合作等多种教学方法。教学上要面向全体同学的时候要注重分层教学,充分调动每个学生的积极性,来营造一种轻松和谐的氛围,使全体学生互相促进,共同提高。
教学目标
能掌握情态动词表推测的用法,并通过对于疑似外星人事件的讨论及巨石阵的了解,学习掌握not only…but also, as, but等关联词的用法,同时,培养学生复述文章的技能,让学生把语言输入转化为知识输出,增强学生综合运用语言的能力,并引导学生热爱世界、热爱自然、热爱生活。
重难点:巩固和拓展情态动词表推测的用法、连接词用法及其在语言输出中的恰当使用。
