教材分析
整个单元以谈论"生日"为主线,将12个月份的名称、序数词的学习融入到一系列的小任务中,学生通过询问对方的生日来完成一个最终的目标,即学会应用日期的表达方法。
其中Section A 主要以When is your birthday?为线索,重点呈现日期的表达,包括12个月份的名称及序数词的学习。第二部分扩展到When is Nick's birthday? 继续学习与巩固日期的表达法,最后以"The Birthday Game"结束。所以A部分的教学设计以循序渐进的教学方法,兼顾了听、说、读、写各种能力的培养,但重点放在听和说上。
Section B是在已有的基础上拓展和延伸。如:When is the school trip? 同时从听说训练转向读写能力的培养上。Self check是课后的自我检测,首先是对本单元所学字汇的检测,其次是文化知识的拓展,了解一些国内外名人的生日等。
教学反思
在本节课的教学中,我深刻的感受到,在新课程的改革中,作为教师首先必须转变观念,提高认识,深刻理解新课程标准的内涵,树立新的课程观。对本节课的授课做出反思如下:
一、面对一些整体学生进行教学的态度误区。由于对学生学习英语的要求过于严格,不能注意到学生的差异性,没有发现他们接受语言的快慢程度,最终导致有的学生吃得饱,有的学生吃不饱。吃不饱的那部分学生就会产生以下情绪:上课或讲练习的时候,就会马虎,注意力不集中。
二、学生学习语言的能力是因人而异的。有差别是正常的,要教好每一个学生,但不能要求每一个学生都一样、一个模式,不能要求学生都按一个模式去发展,而是开发学生不同的潜能,发展学生学英语的各方面能力。而且教师可根据不同学生之间的差异去因材施教。
我认为课堂教学是由师生共同完成的,课堂教学的过程应是师生共同参与,相互合作,创造性地实现教学目标的新过程。学生听了之后要开口读出来是很困难的,学生往往胆子小或怕难为情,不敢在课堂上大声的读出来。因此,要以鼓励为主,鼓励学生胆子大一点,大声读出来,这也是提高英语的办法之一。
总之,对学生进行语言教学任重道远。我们要在实践中不断探索,以丰富多彩的“形”式来点缀、深化英语知识的“神”采,把孩子们带到一个原汁原味的英语境界中,不断激发其学习兴趣,让课堂充满活力、充满情趣,让学生们学起来有滋有味,轻松自如。

二.学情分析
初一学生有着极强的求知欲和表现欲。根据学生的心理特点,我在课堂上多以表扬为主,注重对学生英语学习兴趣的培养,鼓励他们大胆说、积极做、努力讲!让学生们在玩玩、做做、说说、唱唱中学习英语。尽管这个年级的学生在小学时已经接触过英语,有一定的英语基础,学习起来比较轻松,但在学习方法和学习策略上还有很大差距,尤其在答题技巧和技能方面还缺少锻炼。因此本学期在实施英语教学的过程中,我在教授学生新知的同时更重视对学生学习方法和答题技巧的培养。同时,培养学生养成良好的听、说、读、写等学习习惯,提高课堂教学效率。
三.教学目标
知识目标:复习,巩固“日期的询问和问答”。
能力目标:学会谈论自己,同学以及父母家人的生日,并学会自己安排作息时间。
情感目标:通过互相询问课内外活动的安排日程,不仅可以增进同学间的了解和友情,而且还能学会合理的安排自己的作息时间,变成有规律地生活,学习的好习惯。
四.教学重难点
重点:复习日期的询问和表达。
难点:when,what 引导的特殊疑问句的使用。
五.教学策略
本节课,我采取任务型教学法,利用话题进行衔接,从听说读写四个方面入手,对学生的英语技能进行全面训练。运用启发式教学方式,遵循和谐高效的理念,引导学生通过自我学习、小组合作学习等多种方式掌握相关学习目标,提高能力。
六.教学评价设计要点

How old are you?
After enjoying the video, the teacher tells sth about birthday. This makes a leading-in of the lesson, guiding the students to talk about their birthday and age.

Show the students some pictures about sports meeting, let them make dialogues with desk mates, asking “What other activities did you have at your school?”
This step is aimed at reviewing the important phrases in Unit 1 .

Read the passage quikly and answer the questions.When is the school day? When is the art festival? When is the English day?
You can skim to find out what is all about. Headings and pictures can help you do this.

Read the article again and choose “T”or “F”.
