本课时SectionB是本单元的第二课时,要求学生在第一课时集中学习了月份、序数词及日期表达法以后,学会对这些知识进行灵活运用。学会合理安排自己的作息时间,做时间的主人。
(二)学情分析?
初一学生具有较强的好奇心、浓厚的学习兴趣和强烈的求知欲,在学习英语的过程中希望能得到老师更多的肯定。因此在教学活动中应尽量让他们参与到活动中来,极大的激发他们的兴趣和参与意识;通过学生间的合作学习和做中学,降低他们的学习难度,使他们体验到成功的喜悦。
(三)?教学目标?
1.知识与技能
让学生记住和掌握以下单词和句型:speech contest,school trip, party,basketball game,volleyball game, art festival. When is the school trip? It’s April 19th.
2.过程与方法
复习、巩固 “ 日期的询问和应答 ” ;学会谈论自己、同学以及父母家人的生日;并学会自己安排作息时间。
3.情感态度与价值观
Section B 的学习内容安排课内外的一些活动,非常贴近学生的学习生活。通过互相询问课内外活动的安排日程,不仅可以增进同学之间的了解和友情,而且还能学会合理地安排自己的作息时间,养成有规律地生活学习的好习惯。
(四)教学重、难点
重点 :继续学习和巩固对日期的询问和表达。
难点 :用所学月份与序数词合理地安排记录具体某一日的大事。
(五)教学准备
教师准备
制作一个能反映一些课内外活动的图片、幻灯片或课件;制作一个反映日程行事历的图片或幻灯片;设计课后巩固练习的幻灯片。
学生准备
复习序数词的构成和日期的表达法;为自己安排一个行事历;整理一下学校所开展的活动。
(六)教学过程
Step 1.Warming up---- Free talk
Show some pictures and let the students ask and answer in pairs:
When is hisher birthday? HisHer birthday is……
【思路点拨】让学生用学过的句型进行自由对话,充分的口语练习使课堂的语言氛围浓厚,学生的交流沟通能力得到了提升。
Step 2.Revision
利用幻灯片出示练习题复习日期表达法。
【思路点拨】通过复习加深了学生对重点知识的掌握,为下一步的学习做好铺垫。
Step3 Presentation
出示幻灯片 ( 能反映一些课内外活动 ) ,一边让学生观看,一边描述: This is a basketball game / speech contest / school trip / party ……,并重复让学生跟读,理解其语义。然后通过一系列的练习巩固学生的记忆。
【思路点拨】采用图片的形式教学单词、词组,能够加深学生的理解,并为下一步活动的开展做好铺垫。
Step 4 Listening practice
1. Listen to the tape and finish 2a and 2b
2. Check answers.
[思路点拨] 让学生的听力能力得到训练,从而进一步掌握句型。通过声音输入,引导学生整体感知语言材料,培养学生有目的地去听的习惯,并且在听中思,听中做,听做结合,听与图结合,既锻炼了学生的听力,又有助于学生对文本的理解。
Step 5 Activities
1.Pairwork:
a. Ask students to work in pairs.Ask and answer questions to complete the schedule.Give an example. When is the basketball game? It’s on October 3rd.
Make sure students know what to do.
b. First model the sample conversation with a student. Ask students to work in pairs.At last invite several pairs of students to present their conversations to the class.
A: Do you have a School Day at your school?
B:Yes ,we do.
A:When is it?
B:It’s April 19th.
A:Do you have an Art Festivil?
B:No, we don’t.
2.Groupwork:
学生以四人为一组,为班级设计活动计划,把组员都喜欢的活动进行合理的安排;各组进行汇报,并评选出最合理、最受同学们欢迎的活动安排。
3. Writing:
Ask students to do a game.Each student writes five things on a piece of paper.Let students write their age,birthday,what they like or don’t like such as food,movies.Then ask students to exchange papers.Ask a student to read a paper.Let other students guess who it is.
【思路点拨】这一部分通过听、说、读、写的练习,不仅复习巩固了所学单词和句型,也通过口语练习提高了学生的交际能力,对学生口语提高至关重要。
Step 6 Summary
Ask students to sum up what they have learned during this class.
【思路点拨】培养学生用自己的语言进行总结、归纳、当堂反馈小结。回想本节课所学内容,你学到了哪些?你还有哪些疑问?
Step 7 Homework
1. Review what we have learned in this period.
2. Make plans for everyday life. If you have a schedule for every day, you can make everything go well.
