教材分析
本课的教学内容是六年级下册期末单元复习,教学中心是通过Anna到动物园的参观活动,将天气、问路、谈论动物、谈论人的活动和动物园的规则五个单元的重点串联起来,使学生形成知识树,并学会运用所学知识描述活动,提高语言运用能力。
语言技能和语言知识集合都是围绕五个单元的中心话题设计的。因为本节课是以Anna参观动物园为依托而开展的,这是与学生生活息息相关的一个话题,所以激发学生的学习兴趣尤为重要。
学会使用句型----How’s the weather today?

三、教学过程
Ⅰ. Warming- up
1. Greet the Ss as usual..
2.Tell them the objectives of this class.
Knowledge objective (知识目标):
To talk about rules and directions ,describe animals , weather and what you are doing.
Ability objective (能力目标):
To use words,phases and sentences you’ve learned to express your own ideas.
Emotional objective (情感目标):
To be kind to people and animals around us.
3..Play the music of weather forecast in CCTV1,review the weather first.
T: Boys and girls,do you know the music?
S:Yes,
T: what do you think of that?
S: Weather forecast
T:OK,let’s talk about weather first. If you can answer,put up your hands right now, then tell them that we often use ”How is the weather today? Or what’s the weather like today?” to describe the weather.Then let Ss work in pairs to make their own conversations.
Ⅱ. Presentation
1.Lead-in
Ask Ss today’s weather.Ss say it’s fine,so today is fine ,Anna is my friend,she is going to visit the zoo,but she doesn’t know the way ,can you tell her where the zoo is? Show a map of the zoo on the screen. Ask Ss to have a groupwork to discuss the way to the zoo.Then ask someone to answer,correct the answers.
Listening
Play the tape to practice the listening, tell them to find out the sentences that describe the way. Ss read the passage and remember how to get to the zoo.
2. Describe the animals
T: Boys and girls,with your help,Anna get to the zoo.Here is the zoo ,show a picture of the zoo.and there are many animals in the zoo,what animals can you see?
Ss:I can see lions,pandas,tigers and so on.
T: What animals do you like? Why? What animals don’t you like? Why? Take pandas for example to tell them how to ask and answer questions,then ask them to practice the dialogue in pairs.
3. Present what people are doing.
Show the picture of the zoo, from the picture, we can see many people there, now complete Anna’s letter according to what you see.
Dear Bob,

Ask them to have a group discussion about the letter,then ask someone to read the letter. Remind Ss to remember the structure of the present continuous tense.
4.In the zoo,the two boys are feeding the elephants, what do you think of their behavior? In fact it’s not allowed in the zoo.now do you know what rules are there in the zoo, try to write them down and a few minutes later, someone will share his idea with us.We can begin our writing with this,

本课时,我采用任务型教学the task-based teaching method和情景教学法the communicative approach, 利用制作多媒体课件来展开课话题,通过Pairwork和Groupwork问答活动谈论天气、问路、动物、活动、规则等话题,通过互相交流和谈论,增进了同学们之间的了解,培养学生热爱大自然,与人为善的良好意识。

教学反思
本课定位为复习课,教学中心是通过Anna到动物园的参观活动,将天气、问路、谈论动物、谈论人的活动和动物园的规则五个单元的知识点串联起来,使学生形成知识树,并学会运用所学知识描述活动,提高语言运用能力。
在导入环节的天气问答中,让学生通过观看天气预报,引起学生的学习兴趣,为整堂课的教学打下了较好的基础。?
在问路话题练习方面,采用逐层深入的方式,先看图,再说话,再练耳,最后阅读的方式让学生熟悉问路的语言,主要训练Is there a ……,? Turn right….
接着,以抢答比赛的方式来训练:I (don’t) like……, because……; Why does (doesn’t)….like…..? Because……学生在应用中练习所学知识,提高了学习兴趣, 学生对于所学内容产生兴趣的同时,明确了需要掌握的学习目标。
紧接着让学生根据动物园图片补全一封信,这样可以将“说”与“写”进行有效结合。在填空练习完之后,在接下来的动物园规则环节中,让学生自由发挥,将所学知识运用到实践中去,在提高学生兴趣的同时,增加学生的成就感,体现“从课本中来,到生活中去”的理念,学生真正做到了学以致用。
在学习过程中,采用小组合作学习、竞赛的方式,提高了学生的参与度,加强了组内同学互助,组与组间的竞争。孩子们在轻松愉快的气氛中,轻松地掌握了目标语言,增强了自信心和成就感,同时培养了自己的合作精神和创新能力。
不足之处:
1、本课定位于复习课,受到需要将知识点以知识树的形式呈献给学生的限制,对于重难点把握的不是那么到位,“听说”练得比较多,但“读写”练得相对较少。
2、对于不同层次的学生,没有充分实行分层教学,只是在问题难度和作业上加以简单区别对待。今后在分层教学方面,还要加以深入学习运用。
