I. Learning strategies(教学策略)
本课使用多媒体、情景创设、小组合作等教学方式,让学生能够通过阅读文本,把握阅读技巧。并运用核心语言进行交谈和写作。

Step 1: Leading-in
One student show and the other students to guess “what he is doing?” .
(Purpose: to review “present progressive” and to interest the students.)
Step 2: Fast reading
Where is Zhu Hui from?Where is Zhu Hui now?
What time is it now?
(Purpose: to catch “where ” & “when” questions. )
Step 3: Scanning

(Purpose: to catch more detailed information. )
Step 4: Mind map--learn to use the mind map to summarize the passage.
(Purpose: to learn to use mind map to grasp the key information. )
Step 5: Pair-work
Make a phone call according to the passage.
A:Hello, this is Zhu Hui speaking.
B: Hi, this is ...speaking. What is the father in your host family doing?
A: Oh, he is .... What is my mother doing?

教材分析

课后反思
关于本节课的思考:
1. 本节课以留学生朱辉的故事为主线,同时呈现了中美两个家庭在同一时间,不同地点,不同的文化背景下的日常活动的差异。通过fast reading, scanning ,careful reading and writing等活动,让学生在情境中运用所学的语言知识,并进行有效的输出。学生课堂的参与度很高,能够在文本中抓住核心信息,并且通过文化背景的渗透,体会到“独在异乡为异客,每逢佳节倍思亲”的情怀,丰富阅读体验。
2. 通过课后的检测,学生的学习效果很好,从作文的书写中可以看出本节课的知识目标达成得很好。通过课后和学生的交谈,可以感受到孩子们通过本节课的学习,在与他人合作中体会到乐趣,发现了别人身上的优点。
对于今后英语教学的思考:
1. 在学习策略方面,应加强对学生的指导,例如思维导图的使用,可以让学生提高阅读效率,获得更多的学习上的喜悦和提升。
2. 在今后的英语教学中,注重学生情感体验和道德教育。让学生在学习语言知识的同时,也能体会到生活的快乐和丰富。通过这节课的学习,能够感受到孩子们对于自己家庭的理解更加深入,也更加热爱。
