Step1. Lead-in & presentation
1. Hello, my young friends! What time do you go to school every day?
On what days do you usually have your history lessons?
When do you usually have your Chinese lessons?
I go to school at 7 o’clock.
We have our history lessons on Monday and Friday.
We usually have Chinese lessons in the morning.
We use different prepositions to talk about time.
2. When is your birthday?/When were you born?
You were born in 2000/in spring/in October.
Oh, this year, your birthday is on Sunday/Children’s Day/3 May.
What do you want to do on that day?
I would like to give you some flowers in the morning.
Do you want to have a party on Sunday evening?
When does your party start? Etc.
Can you tell me how to use “in/on/at”. Have a try.
3. Read the table in Part A. Tell me the ways of using “in/on/at”.

Encourage the Ss to introduce the school life using simple language.
Step3. Presentation
Ask the Ss to listen to the tape and ask the following the question: What team is Millie in?

Listen to the tape again, finish partB1.
Step4. Practice
Play the tape and ask the Ss to read after the tape.
Divide the Ss into five groups and ask each group to read one paragraph.
Finish T or F exercises.
Step5. Activity
Ask and answer about Millie’s school life in pairs.
Ask a student to play the role of Millie and answer the classmates’ questions. T: It’s time for us to do “ Students in role”. Who wants to be Millie and answer the others’ questions? Encourage the more able students to design more questions.
