Step1
Play an English song “The finger family”.
Sing together “The finger family”. Show a picture of finger girl and then ask Ss: “Do you know her? Who is she?”
Ss: She is finger!
T: Do you want to know her family members?
Ss: Yes!
(Show some photos of finger’s family members.)
T: Who is he?
Ss: He is father.
T: Yes, he is finger’s father. We also can say this is finger’s father. Read after me: this is finger’s father.
(This activity introduces the names of the various members of a family. Start by asking students to guess “Who is he/she?” or “Who are they?” in the picture and teach new words: mother, father, parent(s), brother, sister, grandmother, grandfather, grandparent(s) Help Ss with any pronunciation problems they may have.)

After they have said the words, ask Ss to guess which person in the picture each word refers to. Let students work on this in pairs before reviewing the answers with the whole class.
