This unit is one of the most important units in the whole textbook. It is talk about the usages of the superlative forms of adjectives and adverbs. Maybe it is a little difficult for students, so the teacher should give more help for students.

Step 1: Greet and Review
Say hello to class as usual.
Show some pictures to review the comparative forms and superlative forms.
Step 2: Leading-in and Practice--1a, 1b
Lead the students to find the opposites of the adjective words, then write the opposites of superlatives.
Ask several pairs to talk about the people they know using the word in 1a.
Step 3: Listening--1c, 1d
Play the recording. Ask students to fill in the boxes.
Tell students to pay attention to these adjectives words.
Step 4: Practice--1e
Let students make conversations according to 1d. The teacher should show the conversation on the blackboard.
Step 5: Pre-reading--2a
Let students make a conversation with their classmates. And these words may be helpful for students: swim, play basketball, dance, run fast …( write them on the blackboard)
