Teaching procedures:
Step 1: Revision
1. Free talk. Talk about some wild animals.
Step 2: Presentation
1. Show a picture of panda to the students. Encourage students to have a discussion.
2. Present two pictures to the students. Then have a free talk about tigers and wolves. Try to say something about their appearance, food and ability.
Step 3: Listening
1. Millie and Amy want to help wild animals. They read a book about animals. Now they are making a conversation. What are they talking about
2. Turn to Page 68. Read the notes about tigers and wolves carefully, then listen to the tape, try to complete the fact sheets.
3. Check the answers.
4. Have a discussion. If you are a member of the Wild Animals club, how do you help to protect tigers and wolves
5. Help Millie and Amy write a letter to the chairperson.
Step 4: Practice
1. If your friends or relatives (亲戚) buy things made of animal fur, what should you do
2. Listen to the conversation between Millie and Millie’s Mum.
And then answer some questions.
3. Make a dialogue according to the Speak up.
4. Talk about how to protect the animals
