1、熟记并会用本课所学的新词汇;

3、能掌握不定式作宾语的用法。
【能力目标】
充分运用两人活动和小组活动进行听、说训练,并掌握听力技巧以此来提高听、说水平。
【情感目标】
教会学生勇敢表达个人的喜恶,但同时也要接纳他人的观点同时告知学生不要看电视太久,
身体对眼睛都不好。
【教学重点】
1、词汇:news, mind, stand, educational, plan, hope, discussion, happen, expect, find out,
2、句型:--What do you think of ……?

【教学难点】
掌握不定式作宾语的用法,能使用目标语法表达偏好。
教学过程
Step 1. Warming up
1. Show the picture of Running Man and tell students it’s a game show
2. Play a video of a game show -- “Running Man”.
3. Then tell the students we are going to play the game in the video--“ Tear the name cards” in this class. First, divide the class into two teams. In the following studying progress, if you win the competition, you can tear the name cards of the other team. At the end of the class, we’ll see which team is the winner and give them presents.
Step 2. Presentation
1. Show the pictures of TV shows in different channels and learn the new words of different kinds of TV shows.
2. Then get students to read the new words together.
Step 3. Practice
1. Task 1: Competition
Two teams read the words individually. Then use the App “Sound Meter” to see which team reads louder and better. The winning team can tear one name card of the other team.
2. Match the TV shows with the pictures in 1a and then check the answers.
3. Task 2: Competition
Play the sound to the students and let them guess the shows. The student who raises the hand quickly can answer. The team which gets more right answers can come to the blackboard to tear one name card of the other team.
Step 4. Listening
1. Listen and number the shows in the order you hear them in 1b.
2. Check the answers.
3. Listen again and answer the questions.
4. Check the answers.
Step 5. Presentation
1. Teach the target language
(1) Show a picture of Deng Chao and ask students what they think of him. First give them my answer as a sample:
T: What do you think of Deng Chao? Do you like him? I love him because he’s very humorous.
Write “I love him” on the blackboard. Show more characters of Running Man to teach the target language:
A: What do you think of ……?
B: I love/like/don’t mind/don’t like/can’t stand ……
(2) Tell students we use the structure to express likes and dislikes. And use faces to help students understand the sentence meanings easily, especially the meanings of “don’t mind and can’t stand”.
2. Talk about the pictures using target language and give opinions according to the faces.
Step 6. Pair work
1. Practice the conversation in 1c and make your own conversations.
2. Invite several pairs to act out their conversations.
Task 3
1. Work in pairs to practice the target language to talk about different topics in 1 minute.
2. Remind the students to use the greeting words and modal particle like “well, oh, wow” and look at the other speaker to make the conversation more natural.
3. Then two teams PK: which team can make more conversations in 1 minute. The winning team can tear one name card of the other team.
Step 7. Listening (2a &2b)
Task 4
1. Before listening, call the students attention to the phrases. Remind them to grasp the key words during listening.
2. Listen and number. Then check the answers. The student who raises the hand quickly can answer the question. The team that gets more right answers can tear one name card of the other team.
Task 5
3. Listen and complete the sentences to finish the conversation. Remind them to pay attention to the listening skill: While listening, you don’t need to write the whole word, just write the first letter. In this part, I’ll ask two students of each team to write their answers on the two conversation posters. The rest students can see whether they can master the listening skill or not.
4. Then check their answers. The winning team can tear one name card of the other team. Later, ask students some questions to make preparations for the next part.
Step 8. Group work-survey
Task 6
1. Work in a group. One student surveys others about a school activity using target language what do you think of ……? Check the answers in the chart. Then report the results. The group that can finish the task in less time will win.
2. Give students the activity—school trip as a sample to show how to do the group work. In this part, develop students’ cooperative ability and improve their spoken language.
3. In the end, find out which team is the winner in this class and give them presents. At the same time, the other team will also get presents for their performances. And tell them if they keep on working hard, they’ll get what they want.
Step 9. Pair work
1. Ask and answer questions about the TV shows in 2a. Use information that is true for you.
2. Invite several pairs to act out their conversations.
Step 10. Role-play
1. Ask Ss to read the conversation and answer the questions.
2. Check the answers.
3. Get Ss to role play the conversation after listening to the recording.
4. Invite some pairs to act out their conversations in front of the class.
5. Explain some language points.
Step 11. Grammar Focus
1. Review?the?grammar?box.?Ask?students?to?read?the?questions?and?answers.
2. Pay attention to the infinitives used as objects.
3. Get Ss to read the sentences in the boxes together.
Step 12. Language points & Exercises
1. Explain the usages of indefinite pronouns and past tense.

Step 13. Practice (3a&3b)
1. Get Ss to finish 3a &3b.
2. Check the answers.
Step 14. Group work
1. Ask your group questions using the question “Do you want to watch a movie?” and fill in the chart in 3c. Then tell the class your results.
2. Get several groups to show their results.
Step15. Summary
Summarize what we’ve learnt in this period.
Step16. Homework
Finish off the exercises of this period.
