Teaching aims
1. Knowledge objective:
(1) Ss can listen and speak the words about this lesson:hot ,cool,warm,fine,weather . Meanwhile Ss can pronounce the words correctly, Natural tone .
(2) Students master the sentence pattern: How’s the weather in +place ?It’s…/It’s …and….
2. Ability objective:
(1) To develop Ss' abilities of listening and speaking.
(2) To train Ss' ability of working in groups.
(3) To foster student's abilities of communication and innovation.
3.Emotion objective:
(1)To enable Ss to speak English bravely and work in groups freely.
(2)They can love their lives and environment.
Teaching key points:
1.The Ss can express the words : hot,cool,warm,fine,weather .
2.They can express: How’s the weather in +place ?It’s…/It’s …and….
Teaching difficulties:
I think it is difficult to master the pronunciation of “weather”and “warm”.And try to use the sentence pattern in their daily life.
Teaching process:
Step 1 warming up
1.Greetings
2.Sing a song
T:Do you like dancing? Do you like singing ?Before our class,let’s sing a song first.OK?
3.Review the words of the weather and learn the word weather.
4.Practise the sentence pattern: How’s the weather?It’s…
Step 2 Presentation
Ask Ss: How’s the weather ?(PPT)
Ss answer:It’s windy.
T act and say :If it is windy,it will be so cool.Follow me cool.
2.Learn: warm
T:If it is cold ,do like this it will be warm.
3.Learn: fine
T:It’s a ….
Ss:Dog.
Let Ss learn the pronunciation of fine by reading nine.
4.Learn:hot
Show a picture of dog,ask them try to read “hot”by reading “dog”.
5.Play games
(1)Look and guess.
(2) I say ,you point.
(3).What’s missing ?
Step 3 Look and say
Show pictures and ask “How’s the weather ?”,lead the Ss to answer “It’s…/It’s …and…”
*How’s =How is ,It’s= It is
Step 4 Work in pairs
Show a map of China,lead Ss to practice with“How’ s the weather in +place? ”Then ask some pairs to act their dialogue out.
Step 4 Work in groups
1.Ask them make new dialouges in pairs.
2.Show the dialouge out.
Step 5 Games
Choose a box,and complete the task.
Test you.Read and match.
Listen and tick the right pronunciation.
Can you chant ?
Chant with partner.

Step 6 Summarizing
Ask the pupils to say the words and sentences we have learned.
Step 7 Giving homework
Please listen to the weather report ,and complete the form.
