教材分析
本单元是第五模块的第一单元，主要内容是通过对话学习综合运用一般现在时、一般过去时和现在完成时，由Listening and vocabulary和Pronunciation and speaking两大板块组成。其中以前一模块的对话为重点。Listening and vocabulary由五个活动组成：Activity 1要求学生回答与卡通动画有关的开放性问题，培养学生独立思考的能力；Activity 2要求学生学习新词，并根据所听录音内容回答问题；Activity 3通过听读对话内容、回答问题，锻炼学生快速阅读、提取主要信息的能力；Activity 4要求学生用所给单词填空，巩固新词学习；Activity 5通过生生互动方式，用所给新词描述卡通人物的特征，训练学生的口语能力。Pronunciation and speaking由Activity 6和Activity 7组成：Activity 6是对本单元句子中的重读的训练及实践运用，帮助学生正确发音；Activity 7通过生生一问一答的方式，练习一般现在时、一般过去时和现在完成时的用法。
本节课的设计理念：
依据《英语课程标准》，以“培养学生学习英语的兴趣，树立自信心，培养良好学习习惯，形成有效策略，发展自主学习和合作精神”为指导思想，采用“任务型”教学模式，结合教学内容创造性地设计贴近学生生活实际的任务活动，吸引和组织他们积极参与，使学生通过观察、思考、讨论、交流和合作等方式， 使学生在一种自然、真实或模拟真实的情境中体会语言、掌握语言的应用，始终体现“让学生学会学习，学会探究，学会合作，学会创新”的新课改理念。
本节课的设计特点：
一．导入、呈现新内容形象直观
在本节课中，我充分利用多媒体，引入大量的图片呈现新授内容，使学生比较直观地理解本节课内容，使所学内容形象直观化，易于接受。
二．充分发挥学生主动性，在真实的情景中灵活运用英语。
英语作为一门语言，应体现它的交际功能，我一贯认为学生会应用英语是关键。所以在课堂教学中我注意给学生自由发挥的空间，通过小组合作，让他们充分的发挥想象，运用所学的内容完成任务 ，这样学生可以活学活用英语，同时也培养了学生的听说技能。本节课的主要学习内容是谈论所喜欢的卡通形象，在本节课中设计的活动都是使学生主动参与课堂应用所学知识，提高学生在真实的情景中灵活运用英语的技能。
三．教学手段多样化，课堂教学效益最大化。
在课堂教学中要想让课堂教学效益最大化，教学手段就必须多样化。本节课充分利用多媒体进行直观形象的教学活动外，还采用了 Pairwork, Groupwork等不同的教学手段，使学生思维始终处于兴奋状态，学生主动参与、乐于探究、勤于动手,轻松自然地掌握知识，突破难点，使课堂效益达到最大化。
