本课时是四年级上册第一课时对话课，对话课的教学目标是让学生能够理解对话大意，并能够运用正确的语音语调朗读对话，能够在情景中恰当运用重点句型。教师在教学时可以根据学生是否更换教室的实际情况，利用真实的语境和教材中的人物、图片等情景展开教学，在教学中建议采取读图和观看视频的方式处理重点知识。
本课设计的教学活动有以下特点：
真实自然的教学情境。学生在情境中理解语言，培养了学生的语言理解能力和语言运用能力。在教学重点句型What’s in the classroom?时结合自己教室内的物品加深学生对句子的理解以及运用。
加强学生的读图能力。通过呈现文本图处理Where is it?It’s near the window.
实施听说教学。观看视频呈现What’s in the classroom?等重点句子。
