Lead to the topic Pictures and video Show the pictures to the students and play a short period of radio for them Watch the video and get a brief knowledge of the Zhoukoudian site Lead to the module topic and reading passage 3
Master the main connection between the two parts Help them master the connection between the two parts and thus get the main idea of the whole passage Answer my questions and understand what they will read in the passage Develop the ability of predicting the material by reading the subtitles 2
Part 1 :TheAmazing Caves of Zhoukoudian Guide the students to read part I using different reading strategies Read the passage and finish relative exercises in the learning plan in order to better understanding the passages Practice the ability of getting useful information and expressing their own opinion and summing up the contents 12
Part 2: Beijing man heritage site in danger Guide the students to read part 2 using different reading strategies Sum up the main idea of each part and get the detailed information by filling in a form And then discuss whether it is worth repairing the site at the high cost Practice the ability of summing up main idea and finding detailed information to solve some problems. 12
新授过程 Discussion Offer the students a topic based on the passage Discuss with their partners and share their own opinions Help the students to learn to cooperate in the course of study and share one’s own opinion. 7
Post reading Offer the students a short summary of the passage with some blanks to fill in. Fill in the blanks with some simple words to Consolidate the understanding of the passage as a whole. 3
本课小结 We have a brief understanding of the amazing caves of Zhoukoudian and learnt that they are of vital importance for china and even the world, but they are in great danger for some reasons. All of us should be aware of the significance and urgency of protecting the cultural heritage sites As a member of the general public , we should take our obligation to do something when necessary.
