组织教学 Understand the title of this module Offer two choicesfor the students Choose the correct answer Make sure the students can know “in danger” doesn’t mean “dangerous” 1
创设情境导入新课 Lead to the topic 1. Offer the students some positive information about the antelopes 2.Show some painful pictures to the students to arouse their awareness of protecting the antelopes 1. Read the short passage and develop a good impression of the antelopes.2. Watch some painful pictures Lead to the reading topic 3
新授过程 Skimming for the main idea of each paragraph Show the students the meaning of the reading strategy----Skimming Learn what is skimming and match the paragraphs with the ideas Help them deal with the main ideas using the proper reading skill 5
Scanning for details of the passage Show the students what scanning means and how to use this reading skill Learn another reading skill--- scanning and use it to find the answers to certain questions. Help the students master a very useful reading skill used to find the exact answer to the reading comprehension questions 10
Read the passage thoroughly Allow the students 4 minutes to read this passage again Read the passage from the beginning to the end to understand each point and sentence Make sure they can overcome some difficult points and can understand the structure of the passage 8
新授过程 Post reading Guide the students toDiscuss the reasons for the extinction of the wildlife Discuss with their group members and share their opinion :Which is the most important reason Encourage the students to co-operate with others and share their own opinion actively 4
