反思:
对学情的充分了解是一节课成功的前提
由于我抽到是第一个上课,在上课前的一个多小时才被允许和学生有一次短暂的见
面,因此我在之前的备课中是基于温州地区的八年级(下)普通班级的学生设计了这节课。尽管之前已了解到杭州采荷中学的学生的英语属于中等水平,但是实际上课中发现学生的英语水平至少在口语表达方面和预想有较大的差距,不禁令人诧异这竟然是杭州一所据说是不错的学校?对学生的不了解导致这节课的定位过高,特别是在导入单词环节个别词呈现得太快太急,处理得不够细致。
目标的准确定位是一节课成功的保证
我认为词汇教学应从单词的音、形、意着手,最后要让学生能够会用所学的单词进行口头或书面的表达,因此,我这节课的各个环节都是紧紧围绕目标单词、词组和句型的呈现、操练、巩固、拓展层层递进的,最后学生能够在篇章的口语输出中运用目标语言。从最后学生的课堂输出和观课小组的学生词汇学习效果反馈来看,教学效果是非常不错的。但由于话筒声音不清、自己上课精神状态不好等诸多因素的影响,这节课的教学效果并没有得到一些评委的认可,觉得有些遗憾。
在备这节课时,我发现所给材料中的一些单词和学生的实际生活相距甚远,如:goth, hippy等,如何创设比较真实的情境让学生运用这些词是这节课的一个难点,最后我采取让学生谈论图片并表达自己的观点的形式来运用这些词汇。当时我认为11个单词的量让八下的学生在一节课内学习是恰当的,如果太少,一节课的教学未免太低效。但是课后听了专家的点评后,我有了新的认识,其实像goth, hippy等学生实际生活中不常用的单词不必要到达“会用”,学生能够明白他们的意思即可。也就是说,词汇教学中应该针对不同的单词确定不同的教学目标,采取词汇分层教学。

教学步骤及设计说明:
Step1. Warming-up
Greet students by asking them questions about themselves, the teacher and students get familiar with each other by dong this.
Step2. Lead-in
Talk about the hobbies and favorite stars/heroes of the students .
Get students to think about what fashion is.
Summarize fashion is a big part of music. And also fashion is in clothes, stars, our hobbies.
设计说明:从学生自身出发,问及他们的爱好,喜欢的明星,很自然地带出时尚元素所在,让学生在自然的交谈中感受时尚的无处不在,为下面对时尚的理解做好铺垫。让这个原本看似遥不可及的话题,一下子贴近学生,给学生对于时尚是什么的话题有了很好的输出来源。

Step3. Presentation
1. play a video called “Heaven and earth” and introduce the two heroes in the video. One is Kobe, a typical sporty style. (here get students to guess the missing letter of t_pical /i/
Present the phrases of T-shirt, comfortable trousers . Introduce trainers by showing sports shoes first. And also introduce the compound words like train+er=trainer
slip+per= slipper, sneak+er=sneaker.
The other is Jay, the typical hip-hop style.
Present the phrases :jacket with hood, jeans with big bags=baggy jeans.

Goth 和hippy这两种风格离学生的生活认知很远,大多学生对这两种风格一无所知,而且由于这两种风格都源自不同的社会历史背景,而且都是一种文化的衍生。因此让学生了解这种风格背后的文化背景是使他们能准确理解的前提和关键。
Step 4 Pairwork
Get students to look at the photos. Work in pairs and tell their partner which clothes have they got.
Eg: A: Which clothes have you got?
B: I’ve got some trainers, but I haven’t got any black boots. What about you ?
设计意图:通过讨论自己的有没有照片中的服饰来巩固新学的词汇,同时也为下一个活动判断各个照片的穿着风格做好铺垫。
Step 5 Read and match
1. Get students match the styles with photos(a-d) by reading carefully, and find out the key words that help you get the right answer.
2. get students to discuss which style do they prefer and why.
Step 6 Consolidation
1. show student a photo of Avril Lavigin, hide her clothes. Get students to guess what style she is .(if they can’t get the right answer , reveal some part of her clothes to help them.)
2. consolidate the vocabulary learned in this class by fill in the blanks.

设计意图:通过遮图猜测学生喜爱的歌手艾薇儿的穿着风格,能激发学生的表达兴趣,从而对课文中所学的知识进行运用和巩固,并通过填写一段介绍艾薇儿的短文来复习巩固词汇,并在练习设计中采用多种词汇检测的策略,对学生的词汇理解和使用都是一种巩固和提高。
Step 7 Forum
A discussion with the topic of “What’s your dressing style?” With the help of Anna’s idea, the students talk about their own dressing style.
Anna: Almost everyone develops a preferred style of dress. It’s important that the clothes you wear make you feel happy, express who you are, fit with your personality and lifestyle. I always think I have no fashion sense now, I want to change, but where do I start? My hair, clothes or…? In fact, I like to wear comfortable ones, and those are suitable for me, how about you? Tell me your idea, let’s share.
设计意图:学习了各种服装风格,让学生来讨论自己的风格,考虑到学生穿着校服,大多数学生并没有形成一定的风格,因此在论坛开头提供了一个认为自己没有风格的Anna来给学生的回答做铺垫,并有意识地引导学生通过自己的兴趣爱好,性格特征来设定自己的服饰风格。
Step 8 Design your favorite school uniform
As students wear uniform everyday, get them use the vocabulary they’ve learned to design their favorite uniform.
设计意图:在学着校服的中学生中继续讨论服装风格似乎会偏离学生的兴趣所在,因此,重新激发学生谈论服饰的兴趣,是给学生机会,把各种自己喜爱的风格的元素融入校服

Step 9 Homework:
Lever A: List the words that describe one’s dressing. Try to use these words in a proper way.
Lever B: Help your friend to design a dressing style according to his hobbies, personality and so on.
教学反思
本届浙江省英语课堂教学评比的主题是“词汇的教学”,整个比赛由文本解读比赛和课堂教学比赛两部分内容组成,各占30%和70%的比例。本人是本着学习的初衷参与这次比赛,通过这次比赛,也着实让我学到了很多,同时也有了更深的反思。
本节课的主题是Fashion and you. 乍一看文本,是同学喜闻乐见的话题。但再仔细研读,发现文本中要处理的词汇实在是多。有些词则有着深厚的文化背景,且与我们的生活相距甚远。为此,在备课前,我做了大量的资料考查工作,确定文本中所涉及服装风格的相关文化背景。在做了充分的了解和研读后,再着手开始设计课堂的思路和教学环节。由于本次活动的主题是“词汇的教学”。所以针对这一要求,我也查阅了相关的理论依据及平时课堂中的实践积累,在词汇的教学中运用大量的处理方式,如: 按话题归纳分类;构词法;同音异议词;一词多议;结合文化背景知识,图文结合;missing words 等。部分环节在本节课的词汇教学中也起到了画龙点睛的作用。但就整个比赛而言,仍然还有很多不足之处,做如下总结:
就比赛的结果而言,充分的暴露了我文本解读能力的欠缺。当然更多的是对文本解读比赛这个环节的不够重视,以至于这一环节得分相对较低,影响了最后的总名次。
从课堂教学环节而言,有以下几点值得反思:
虽然能较准确的判断文本中的生词和句型,但处理词汇的方式仍较传统单一,没有大的创新。
课堂中部分环节的操作时间把握不够准确,如,在前面播放“Heaven and earth”这段视频的时候,没有及时中断视频,浪费了1分多钟,以致影响了最后的一个讨论环节时间不足。
课堂中对学生提问的涉及面还不够广,仅局限于个别同学,没有充分调动起学生的积极性。以致学生课堂中不敢大胆举手,积极问答。
板书设计不够规范严谨。(其实是时间没有控制好,以致来不及完成板书的设计和呈现)。
以上是本人对这节课的反思,有不足之处也望各位专家同仁多提宝贵建议。
