本课时是四年级上册第一课时对话课，对话课的教学目标是让学生能够理解对话大意，并能够运用正确的语音语调朗读对话，能够在情景中恰当运用重点句型。教师在教学时可以利用真实的语境和教材中的人物、图片等情景展开教学，在教学中建议采取读图和观看视频的方式处理重点知识。
本课设计的教学活动有以下特点：
真实自然的教学情境。学生在情境中理解语言，培养了学生的语言理解能力和语言运用能力。在教学重点句型What’s his name?时结合一些明星和自己同学的照片进行句子的理解和运用。
听说先行。让学生带着问题观看视频并展开本课重点句子的学习，培养了学生的听说能力。
在充分理解的基础上进行语言输出和运用。在巩固操练环节，利用猜一猜的游戏，让学生在轻松愉快的氛围中巩固语言。
