2. T: When is your birthday, Bill? (引导学生用“My birthday is in+月份名词”来回答。)
The teacher shows the calendar and presents the new words: January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, and December.
3. Work on 1a. Listen and repeat the months.
T: Listen to the tape and repeat the words in 1a. Students read and repeat the new words in 1a.
Remind the students of the first letters of each word.
4. T: My birthday is in May. It’s on May 2nd. When we talk about months, we use ‘‘in’’; When we talk about dates, we use ‘‘on’’.
讲解:first(1st), second(2nd), third(3rd) 这些词叫做序数词,表示事物的顺序,在表达日期时用序数词。

1. 名词所有格的构成法
a. 单数名词词尾加 ’s, 如:the boy’s bag男孩的书包,Mike’s knife迈克的刀子
复数名词词尾如没有s,也要加 ’s,如: the Children’s Palace少年宫,men’s room男厕所。
b. 若名词已有复数词尾-s,只加 ’ :the workers’ struggle 工人的斗争,the teachers’ reading-room 教员阅览室。
注意: 名词所有格词尾’s的读音与名词复数词尾-s的读音相同。
c. 表示几个人共有一样东西,只需在最后一个人的名字后加’s,如:This is Tom and Jason’s room. 这是汤姆和杰森共有的房间。
若表示各自所有,则需在各个名字后加’s,如:These are Tom’s and Jason’s rooms. 这些是汤姆和杰森各自的房间。
注意:在某些句子里,名词所有格修饰的词,往往可以省略,如John’s bike is better than Mike’s(bike).约翰的自行车比迈克的好。
