T: Good morning, boys and girls.

What do you often do on Mondays?
What do you have on Monday?
T: Great! When you have PE class, what do you often do?
T: Wonderful! You can do so many things.
T: Now let’s look at the pictures. What are they? What can they do?( do the action that the animals can do.)
T: Yes, very good. Now let’s sing the chant.
Bird, bird. What can you do?
I can fly. I can fly.
Fish, fish. What can you do?
I can swim. I can swim.
Dog, dog. What can you do?

Rabbit, rabbit. What can you do?

Ss say the chant together.
利用自由交谈时间复习之前所学的内容,激活先知并能将这些先前所学的知识运用到将要学到的句型当
中。
激活先知的同时带入了即将学到的句型 what can you do?
I can...提前让学生熟悉并了解这节所要学到的句型。

T: Wow! You are so wonderful. Now we know what they can do. What can you do?
Let’s see this picture.(lead in the word “dance” )What can she do?
Ask Ss if this is you, What can you do?
T: Who can try? What can you do?
T: OK! Now let’s say the chant.
Dance, dance. I can dance.
Show students some other pictures and do the action to help students learn the words. Then say the chant:
Dance, dance. I can dance.
Sing, sing. I can sing English songs.
Do , do. I can do kungfu.
Play, play. I can play the pipa.
Draw, draw. I can draw cartoons.
Let students look and listen to the record. What can you do?
Ask Ss “what can you do?” and let them use” I can..”to answer.
Ask students work in pairs to use the key sentences to make a short dialogue. “ What can you do?”
“ I can...”
T: All of you did a very good job. Now this boy “ Can you tell me what can you do?”
Ask other students “ What can she/he do?”
T: Great!!!
Let students work in groups to use the key sentence to do a survey and write down “ Who can dance? Who can do some kungfu?......
Read the words and sentences after class. Write the words for 5 times. The sentences for 2 times and write the Chinese meaning.
Use what we have learned to ask you friends or classmates “ What can you /she/he do?” “ I /she /he can ......
S: She can dance.
S1:I can read books.
S2: I can wash my clothes.
....
Ss: I can dance.

Ss say the chant together.
