2.能理解并朗读本课对话,尝试复述对话内容。
3.能写一段话来介绍自己或他人善于做的事和喜好。
【教学重难点】
1.教学重点:
(1)理解对话内容,能运用功能句介绍他人年龄、样貌、性情等信息。
(2)掌握词汇: nervous,face,smiles,students, music,sports,playing the piano和句型:I am good at….I enjoy….
2.教学难点:能写一段话来介绍自己善于做的事和自己的喜好。

教学课件、彩纸。
【教学过程】
一、Listen and say
1.导入
(1)教师提问:“Can you play ping-pong? What sports do you like?'’学生根据实际情况回答。
(2)教师播放PPT3,各种运动图片。学生观看,并说出各种运动名称:volleyball,running,badminton,basketball,ping-pong,high jump。
2.学习对话
(1)谈论主题图(出示PPT4-5)。
教师引导学生观察图,教师提问:
T: Who are in the picture? What are they doing?(学生观察图片并回答)
S: The three boys are playing ping-pong.Sara and Baobao are talking。
T: What are Sara and Baobao talking about? Who's the woman in the picture? (引导学生根据图片预测。)
(2)理解对话。
出示PPT6,教师播放对话录音,学生边听边思考问题:
What are Sara and Baobao talking about? 学生尝试回答刚才提出的问题:They are talking about their ping-pong coach.(出示PPT7)
教师可呈现不同的教练图片,如乒乓球教练、羽毛球教练、游泳教练等,帮助学生理解coach(出示PPT8)。
出示PPT9,教师提问:Can you tell me more about her? 你能告诉我有关她的更多情况吗?教师再次播放对话录音,学生回答:She's 38 years old.She's tall,She has big eyes and a round face.She smiles a lot. 出示我们新英语老师的生活照,让学生进行描述(PPT10)。
出示PPT11,T: It's the first ping-pong class for Sara,so she's very nervous.教师呈现表情图,帮助学生理解nervous。
出示PPT12,教师提问:
T: When do you feel nervous?
T: Is Ms Wu kind? What did she do before? 学生打开书,阅读对话,回答问题:
S: Ms Wu is very kind.She was a professional player.
教师讲解:I can play ping-pong,too.But I'm not good at it. (出示PPT13)
(3)朗读对话。
再次播放录音,学生逐句跟读对话。教师强调连读、按意群朗读等,提醒学生注意模仿语音语调。
男生、女生分别扮演Baobao和Sara,进行分角色朗读。开展pair work,学生两人一组开展角色朗读,并进行角色扮演。
(4)复述对话。
教师出示PPT14导图,引导学生复述对话:

二、Listen and Write
1. 教师提问学生(出示ppt15):What does your mother/father/uncle…do?学生根据实际回答。

4. 教师播放录音,学生根据录音填写单词(出示ppt16)。
5. 订正答案。

三、Read and write
先让学生自主阅读该文段,理解文段大意。再细读文段,根据对话自己尝试填出所缺的单词。尽量先不看对话内容。遇到困难,可以小组进行讨论,寻找要填写的单词。然后开展pair work或group work,讨论答案。出示PPT17,订正答案:nervous,face,smiles,students。
最后学生记忆所填单词(出示ppt18)。

1. 教师提问:What subjects do you study at school? Which subject are you good at? What do you enjoy doing? 学生根据实际情况回答,例如:I study maths, Chinese, music and Eng1ish. I am good at English. I enjoy singing English songs.
