T: Yes.It is babbling. It weighs only 3 kilos.So, What does “it” refer to T: So, we use it for a young child when we don’t know whether it is a girl or a boy. 3.Use it for an unknown a person T: Look at the picture and fill in the blank. —Who was calling you on the phone just now —It was my cousin. T: Here, “it” is used for an unknown person. 4. Use it for an action, a situation or an idea T: We have learned something about Guilin in Reading. Do you remember what activity is popular in Guilin T: Riding around the countryside is popular now, isn’t it Here, we use it for an action, a situation or an idea mentioned in a previous statement it 作人称代词:1.指代动物或无生命的东西。2.指代看不出性别的婴儿和小孩。
