Introduction
Talk about poems.
Some words at the ends of the lines in a poem have similar sounds. We can find rhymes.
诗歌饱含着作者的思想感情与丰富的想象.
它具有以下四个特点:
(1)诗歌的内容是社会生活的最集中的反映。
(2)诗歌有丰富的感情与想象。
(3)诗歌的语言具有精练、形象、音调和谐、节奏鲜明等特点。
(4)诗歌在形式上,不是以句子为单位,而是以行为单位,且分行主要根据节奏,而不是以意思为主。
英语诗歌小常识
1. 有的英文诗分成几节(stanza),每节由若干诗行组成;有的诗则不分节。
2. 英文诗每行的第一个字母都大写,但是一诗行不一定是一个完整的句子,不一定能表达一个完整的意思。有时候,一行诗正好是一句,有时两行甚至许多行才构成一个意思完整的句子。
3. 英文诗一般都押韵。常见的几种押韵方式:头韵是指一行(节)诗中几个词开头的辅音相同,形成押韵。押在诗行最后一个重读音节上,叫尾韵。这是英文诗歌最常见的押韵部位。诗行中间停顿处的重读音节与该行最后一个重读音节押韵者,叫行内韵。也有不少英文诗是不押韵的,不押韵的诗称无韵诗或白体诗(blank verse)。多用在戏剧和叙事诗中。

【解读】 It’s time to do sth.是固定句式,表示“到了做某事的时间了”,也可以用It’s time for sth.来表达。
graduate/'ɡr d ue t/v.毕业,其名词为graduation,常用短语为graduate from“从……毕业”。

【解读】keep one’s cool: cool在此用作名词
“保持沉着;不让自己失去控制”
与keep one’s cool意思相似的还有keep cool(此处cool为形容词)。
注意:keep cool中的cool用作形容词,而keep one’s cool中的cool为名词。
