过去进行时由“was / were +动词-ing”构成，表示在过去某一时刻或某一段时间正在进行的动作。常与过去进行时连用的时间状语有at eight / nine ... (o’clock) yesterday morning, at that time，from eight to ten yesterday morning等。 过去进行时e.g. Alice was doing her homework at six yesterday evening.

主语+was/were+动词-ing (+其他).
e.g. I was swimming at that time.
否定式:
主语+wasn’t/weren’t +动词-ing (+其他).?
e.g. They weren’t listening to music at
ten yesterday morning.2. 句式疑问式:
Was / Were+主语+动词-ing (+其他)?
其肯定回答为：Yes,?主语(人称代词)+ was / were.；
否定回答为：No,?主语(人称代词)+ wasn’t / weren’t.?

—Yes, he was. / No, he wasn’t.过去进行时含义: 表示过去某个时刻正在进行的动作。
结构: was/were + doing
e.g. I was having an English class at this time yesterday. 现在进行时含义: 表示现在正在进行的动作。

is/am/are + doing
e.g. I am having an
English class. 过去进行时和现在进行时的区别过去进行时和一般过去时的区别过去进行时表示过去正在进行的动作,
而一般过去时则表示一个完整的动作。
e.g. They were writing letters to their
