从了解街道开始,先将traffic lights, pavement, zebra crossing等单词学习扎实后再进入课文进行学习。其实学生对于must, can及其否定形式还是能很好的理解,只是在口头表达上还欠缺,也不明了这两者具体的区别。在教授过程中需要将这点明确给学生。
must 表示说话人“不许”和“禁止”某人做某事,有很强的劝告语气。Can表示有能力或有权利做某事。

It was very hot day in the middle of summer, and there were no trees along the street. Mr Read closed his shop at half past five. Then went out into the street and began walking to the bus stop. The sunshine was very strong, so in a few minutes Mr Read felt very hot.
