eg：The population of the city is over
10,000,000.这个城市的人口超过一千万。表示某一范围内有多少人口时，用地点＋has a population of＋数词或者the population of＋地点＋is＋数词。考向二Our town has a population of 20,000.
The population of our town is 20,000.
我们镇有两万人。eg： 表示人口“多”或“少”时，一般用large或small来修饰，而不用many、more或few等修饰。
eg：China is a country with a large population.
中国是一个人口众多的国家。
考向三【易错点】 提问某地有多少人口时，用what而不用how many或how much。常用结构是：“What is/was the population of＋地点？”。
eg：What’s the population of Hebei Province?

how many。表示人口多少时，用large或small来修饰。B abroad/?'br??d/ adv.到国外； 在国外知识点2考向abroad意为“到国外；在国外”，是副词，前面不用介词。

go abroad 去国外 except/?k'sept/ prep.除……之外知识点3考向except，besides和but辨析【易错点】拓展一语辨异：We all went there except him last time.
This time we’ll all go there besides him.
上次除了他没有去那里外，我们都去了。这次
除他去以外，我们也都将去那里。如果介词except之前含有动词do(包括do的各种形式)，则except后面可接动词原形。
eg：A pig doesn’t do anything except eat and sleep.
