Pre-task preparations
Activity 1
Have the students listen to the rhyme on Student’s Book page 13. Then ask the students to look at the paper cut-out of a boy’s face. Elicit the new words nose, mouth, face, eye and ear.
Activity 2
Point to and introduce the parts of your face. Make sure the students understand the new words.
e.g., T: Look! This is my eye.
Activity 3
Show the puppet of a clown to the students and present a short dialogue.
e.g.,
T: Touch your eye.
P: (Touches its eye) This is my eye.
While-task procedures
Activity 1
Prompt the students to repeat after you. Have them point to corresponding parts of their faces and say sentences like the following.
e.g.,
T: Nose, nose, this is my nose.
Ss: Nose, nose, this is my nose.
Activity 2
Teach a new chant about the parts of a face.
e.g.,
Touch your eyes, And touch your ears. Touch your nose, And touch your face. Repeat the chant with hand motions and have the students follow your lead.
Activity 3
Ask a student to come to the front of the class and act as a puppet. This student should do actions according to the commands of the other students.
e.g.,
T: Eye.
Ss: Touch your eye.
P: (Touches his eye) This is my eye.
Activity 4
Have the students do “Listen, act and say” on Workbook page 10. They can do this as pair work.
e.g.,
S1: Touch your face.
S2: (Touches and says) This is my face.
Activity 5
Ask the students to do “Draw and say” on Workbook page 12.
Post-task activities
Activity 1
Ask the students to play a game like the one on Student’s Book page 11 in groups.
e.g.,
S1: (S2’s name), touch your ...
S2: (Touches and says) This is my ...
Activity 2
Have the students do “Listen and number” on Workbook page 10 and then check the answers.

教学后记
a. 学习的最大动力乃是对所学材料的乐趣,要挖掘语言材料的巧妙之处,在没有学过字母的前提下,把单词形象化,是一条辨别记忆单词的好办法。
b. 反馈后发现nose, face, mouth 这三个单词学生发音不是很到位,要注意指导学生正确的发音方法。

Pre-task preparations
Activity 1
Ask the students to look at the wall picture and listen to the dialogue of “Let’s act”. They are only required to get the general meaning of the dialogue. Then ask the students to answer your questions.
e.g.,
T: Who draws a picture? Does Alice like the picture? ...
Activity 2
Draw a picture of a student who is in the class. Say to the student like the following.
e.g., T: (Student’s name), this is your eye (nose, etc.).
While-task procedures
Activity 1
Ask the students to sit face to face in pairs. They should repeat after you using hand motions.
e.g.,
T: This is your eye.
Ss: (Point to each other’s eye and say) This is your eye.
Activity 2
Have the students read the rhyme on Student’s Book page 13 with actions. Substitute the word my with
your.
e.g.,
Look at your face!
Look at your face!
Big eyes and small nose.
Big eyes and small nose.
Look at your face!
Look at your face!
Big ears and small mouth.
Big ears and small mouth.
Activity 3
Have the students take turns to introduce the parts of their faces.
e.g.,
S1: (Points and says) Look! This is my eye.
S2: (Points and says) This is your eye.
Activity 4
Have the students touch and guess in pairs.
e.g.,
S1: (Closes eyes and touches one part of his/her partner’s face) This is your ear.
S2: This is my ear.
Post-task activities
Activity 1
Have the students play the roles and act out the dialogue on Student’s Book page 12.
Activity 2
Ask the students to draw a face of a classmate, then make a dialogue in pairs like the dialogue on Student’s Book page 12.
Activity 3
Have the students do “Look, listen and say” on Workbook page 11. Show different animals’ faces to the students. Have the students act like their favourite animals and introduce themselves.
e.g.,
S1: (Acts as a hippo) Look! This is my mouth. This is my face.
Activity 4
Have the students practise Task “Talk about yourself” on Workbook page 13 in groups.
e.g.,
S1: Hello! I’m ... Look! This is my ...

教学后记
针对学生的特点,选择行之有效的游戏穿插其中,可以分散难点、降低难度,让学生玩中学、学中玩,在愉快的游戏中不知不觉学到知识。通过说说做做,学生对句子的意思理解了,记得也牢了,学得也更快乐了。轮到小老师发令时,发现他们所说的句式局限于本单元的学习内容,应引导学生把前几个单元的指令一起加入其中,力求使学生所学的知识能随时间的推移而滚雪球似地增加。
